i was recently in a conversation with someone who runs a resale games store and we began to discuss that he had come across a large amount of mtg cards and how he may try to sell these.
If he tries to sell these in his brick and mortar store:1- what tips do you have for sorting something like this from scratch?
2- What does he have to do with WOTC if he just wants to unload collections he has bought up? would he have to do anything to sell boosters?
3- what tips do you have for tracking inventory?

Sort: By set / by rarity / by alphabet. They make trays that make it easier. Smaller inventories could just be done by rarity then alphabet, but as inventory grows it will be harder to keep up with it as you may have 50000+ cards that start with the same 4-5 letters.
WOTC does not control secondary market, so he can buy/sell singles or collections as he sees fit.
Boosters he can get through distributors, but most stores get some direct - but must have a store that runs events to get some items.
Inventory could would be based on size, i know tcg has inventory on it. I know crystal commerce does also and can integrate with tcg.
