Magic the Gathering Arena has been quite played over the past couple years. Magic the Gathering Online seems a bit outdated, so who thinks MTGA is gonna replace MTGO?
Mtgo has been outdated for years but as long as it's making wotc a profit they wont abandon it. They start losing money on it they'll shut it down

Its probably a long term goal that they can't let be publicly known that MTGO will be replaced by MTGA. It's going to just keep getting old cards added slowly until it's all in Arena. That's how vintage first came to MTGO. The software came out a few years after the game was started and so they made digital only "vintage masters" sets to back fill it. They already said they are adding pioneer to MTGA with a similar approach via masters sets. They have literally no reason not to back fill the client with ALL of the old sets and sell them all to us again after they get pioneer in.

No. The arena is a streamer's game; it is glossy and intuitive and flashy. It's fun to watch and engaging for the audience and has fun special effects added for bits of flavor.

Nope. Arena is not planning on adding legacy, vintage, or modern
