If you've actually played a game of Brawl, leave a message here describing the game(s) played, please.

I'm interested to know:

a) If anyone has actually played it.

b) What kinda of decks were being played.

c) Was your game vs or multiplayer?

d) How each deck fared.

1) I've played it with a wide variety of archetypes and decks and it has its ups and downs.

2) We've used

a counterburn deck

A monoblue control

A blue black mill

A green white token

A green white lifegain

A monored haste

A monored pirate treasure

A black white vampire tokens

And many more

3)we did both versus and multiplayer

4) I won't go into detail on what each deck does, but I cant stress enough how important synergy is in this format. Your crap has to work together or you will get run over guaranteed. If you throw something together with no synergy, its bad in any format but at least it works. But with a format with only one ofs, you're next to useless with a nonsynergistic deck.

That pretty much sums it up.

I have Kambal, Consul of Allocation, we have a ban of The Scarab God and Cat combo in our play group, all other cards are legal if in a standard set.

I have played against, Nissa, Steward of Elements, Huatli, Radiant Champion, Azor, the Lawbringer, Depala, Pilot Exemplar, Liliana, Death's Majesty. All 4 player.

The format is incredibly slow.

I'm pretty sure Metallurgic Summonings is the best card in Brawl.

Run enchantment hate if possible.

We played it at a tournament, it was alright.

Decks were White/Blue Kefnet, 2x Scarab God, Black/White Legend (Keembo? I forget) and Samut Dino.

We played 1 vs 1 and Multiplayer. 1v1 better - less grindy than multi.

All decks get smashed by Scarab God- card needs to be banned from Brawl asap!

Tremblayk19 Felidar Guardian is banner in Brawl.

You can only use Standard legal cards.

Any card bannned in Standard is also banned in Brawl.

That means no Smuggler's Copter.

I will play it this weekend with my Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh deck and post the results. Tagging this thread to remind myself to do it.

Argy I think that Tremblayks playgroup is doing what my group is doing, and just legalizing every card in a Standard set regardless of the ban list.

Ive played it twice, piloting Nezehal against a Baral deck, a Yahenni combo deck, and a Gishath dinosaur tribal list. Yahenni won game one by Combo, and Gishath won game two by beating face. The conclusion that Ive drawn is that the format relies on decks having a lot of creatures, because you really need to block.

Yeah, what Dredge4life said. Brawl 100% needs to have it's own ban list apart from standard in my opinion. The Scarab God should not be legal. And I don't see a problem with Felidar Guardian/Saheeli Rai separately. Having that combo is also probably too good though. But other than that, the other banned cards are just kind of silly. One could make the argument that Smuggler's Copter is too good but we haven't had a problem with it.

Dredge4life I've said a few times that I think the best way forward is Frontier Brawl.

Brawl rules, but allow all cards from M15 onwards.
