New Feature: Concept Cards
General forum

Hello all,
It seems there was a lot of enthusiasm over the prospect of creating and sharing your own cards.
I've added "Concept Cards" to TappedOut. See the link in the main menu above.
This is just a Beta release so all features aren't available at this time and things might break. Enjoy!

Thanks? I didn't know I had had another problem. Unless you're talking about when i tried to add a card and it said the system was under maintenance. I just assumed that there was another thing or two that you were working on.
As a point of interest, I think that being able to edit the cards we make would be good. I was just looking at the card I added, and I think that I could word it better. No rush on this, I did notice that this feature is still in "beta".

Hah. its only cool when Caley does it.
That was actually carry-over from when I had adding cards open to all. people kept adding themselves.

See, but I also didn't add MYSELF, I added Attorney-Ninja. Which may or may not be me, you never know, BECAUSE IT'S A NINJA.

Can I put my concept cards in my decks (on the deck builder thingy) to playtest them?
And it would be great if we could just upload images as concept cards (I already made mines with Magic Set Editor and it produces jpegs).
:o)

This seems obvious but figure I would try to clarify. If I enchant one creature with say two Ordeal of Heliod s, will they resolve at the same time and gain me 20 life?

Questions like this should be asked in the Q+A forum (how many times have we said this in the past week?).
Nothing ever resolves at the same time in Magic. You'll only sacrifice an Ordeal if after adding a counter from the Ordeal's first triggered ability there is 3 or more counters. Then when you sacrifice it, the Ordeal's 2nd triggered ability will trigger and go on the stack to resolve.

yeah I worded that poorly. I didn't mean resolve in the normal sense of the word. I just meant that the life gain aspect would be applied essentially at the same time. An I guess if it would need to hit 6 counters for both of them to pop or if once it hits 3 counters they both go.

I think what he's asking is, if you have two Ordeal of Heliod on a creature, and that creature gets it's third +1/+1 counter, do you gain 10 life from each of the Ordeals.

If you end up sacrificing them both, then yes the end result will be 20 life gained.
What made you think otherwise?
October 31, 2013 1:33 p.m.
Yes. The Ordeals don't care what effect places the 3rd +1/+1 counter on the creature. Once the 3rd (or next, if it already had 3 when it was enchanted with Ordeal) +1/+1 counter is placed on the creature, the triggered abilities causing the sacrifice are put on the stack and then resolve one at a time.
On a side note, they also don't care what effect is causing you to sacrifice them. Getting attacked by a creature with annhilator? Sac the Ordeals to gain their 2nd effect without having to wait for the counters.

nice. like i said thats what i assumed but i wanted to clear it up incase i was missing something. thanks guys.

Just saying:
If you have 1 counter on a creature with two Ordeals, attacking with that creature will cause both to trigger BUT only the second resolving trigger will add the third counter, leaving you with 3 counters on the creatures, 10 life gained and one Ordeal still attached to the creature.
October 31, 2013 1:57 p.m.
Similarly, if you're in the same situation as above, but have a creature with 2 counters on them, it will reach 4 counters and then you'll gain 20, instead of just three counters. (right...?)

To submit a card to this feature it currently requires that we put in a sub-type, which makes it a bit difficult to add instants and such.
