Hello all. I would just like to make a notice that there will be a new MTG website created by us. It will be linked eventually on our account page, and it will be for talking about our Tapped Out decks, giving deck help, and custom card creation. I expect the website will be available sometime this week. Any questions or comments? Email us at [email protected].
This website is not intended to be another Tapped Out, but more like a portfolio to view all of our MTG related things.
So your making a new tappedout.net? I mean cool go for it. But it's not for me

This sounds very interesting, but what shall happen to the current website? Will it remain, or will the new website replace it?

Not wanting to be a downer, but you're currently attempting to build hype for you website on T/O, despite the fact that fromm reading your thread, seems to offer some similar services (in terms of deck discussions - T/O has multiple forums specifically for this).
These kind of threads should be at minimum be run past yeaGO prior to posting - I'm not sure if you did but didn't see aything on their wall (which makes me think this step has been omitted).
While I wish you and your playgroup luck on your endeavour, please be aware that there is a right and wrong way to go about this. And just randomly plugging your website on T/O probably isn't the right way to do it. It's akin to advertising your deck on moxfield on the front page.

Thank you enpc. I have just contacted him before I have actually posted the site link and I will wait for his word about it before posting.

So, it's like tapped out with extra steps? Seems like you could save yourselves a lot of work by just displaying your decks on here and doing podcasts/deck techs on YouTube. Even if they're taking a cut of the profits - assuming you're doing this as sort of a side hussle. Using a site with an already established audience would grow you a lot faster than posting a link to your personal website on a forum not many people are active on.

Based on the reception above, you appear to have some issues:
-
You don’t appear to have/understand your target audience. It’s going to be hard to get traction based off these initial responses
-
Your site doesn’t appear to do anything specifically better than what’s already on offer here. Or, what it does provide seems very niche/minimal for the effort required of an entirely new site
-
It’s probably not the best practice to be marketing what appears to be a competitor site here.
I really hope you didn’t spend a lot of money setting this site up, cause I don’t see it taking off. All of the features you’ve mentioned either already exist in tappedout, or could be easily adapted by them with minimal turnaround if there were demand.

There's also the notarity factor. This site has been around a long time and if I were to want to visit another site, it would only be because an established deck builder/pro with a good win record set it up. Like, LSV if he made a deck building site with his articles and advice I'd be all over that or to a lesser extent Shaper. Basically, who are you and why should we seek you out for advice?

I never was really meaning it to become something like Tapped Out, more like a way to see more of what we do, like explaining deck mechanics in more detail. Another reason is that for some reason I cannot directly put images into Tapped Out posts for custom cards, so this would be a way for people to see the whole thing. Just created it for the fun of it if people are interested. Thanks for the feedback!
