What's the oddest art on a card you've ever seen. For me it has to be Flash it just looks like a failed selfie. Once you see it you can't unsee it
How this every got through to being printed baffles me

Once you see the humping monkeys, you can never unsee the humping monkeys. (the art was actually parodied in an un-set card, but I can't remember its name.)

For new stuff I'd say eldrazi
There's an old old card I always think of but *obviously* can't remember the name right now. It's a black card with blue mouths all in a circle with sharp yellow teeth lmao

Uktabi Kong is the one your thinking of KingTorg1. You can see the monkey couple celebrating they're... ahem... creation... in the background.

Also I think my favorite art in all of magic is Word of Command. Million dollar picture right there.

Spoils of Evil is pretty gross. For odd art, I would look at the cards by Phil Foglio: He did classics like Humility, the original Greed, and Cooperation

The thing with the monkeys is gold. I hope we see monkey tribal in unhingned. And provoke prejudice is horrible how did anyone think that was a good idea

Blistering Barrier I think has my vote, but there's some really wacky old cards out there art wise

The original Maze of Ith (can't pull up The Dark printing...) and Living Wall were pretty freakish back in the day.

Spincrusher looks like the thing in your mom's dresser drawer...
Clergy en-Vec should remind you of your local catholic priest.

I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned Stasis yet. I can never make sense of it, no matter how hard I look.
By the way, the aforementioned Invoke Prejudice has some amusing gatherer comments. I'm deeply upset that it was never printed for MTGO.

Oh god even the effect of Invoke Prejudice is bad. At first I was like ehh black clothed KKK is bad enough but then the card itself you could say invokes prejudice. I'll go home now.
Anyways Wrench Mind has always been a disturbing and off piece of art work for me.

Harold McNeill created the art for Invoke Prejudice and was met with a wall of resistance.
Oddest art? I've always found Doorkeeper to be strange. He has a mill ability, but he looks like he's up on the door sill getting ready to stab an intruder.

Surgical Extraction for a more 'Modern' card. Ha!

The most odd thing about Invoke Prejudice is that it works when you have no creatures. For some reason. Disembodied axes, I guess.

Mold Demon, Frog Tongue, Plagiarize, Symbiotic Elf, Macabre Waltz, Ad Nauseam, Treacherous Urge, and Fallen Angel.

Man, Plagiarize reminds me of season one of a TV show called Dr. Who. The most distressing thing about the art is actually the guy's taste in jewellery.

shadow63 If you're talking about the TV show, I believe it was an episode where people's gas masks fuse with their faces.
In any case, Price of Knowledge kind of qualifies as well because the guy is trying to read things with no eyes.

I don't know what's wrong with Greg Hildebrandt.

Redace878: The mirage print of Disenchant is from Charles Gillespie, but as a boob kinda guy, I gotta remember Gregs work too ;)

I personally think SILVERTIPPEDCOCK/Armada Wurm is pretty great :)
