I'm more of plains person, but this time i tried out a mono blue deck. so i was wondering how this looks: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/im-rubber-and-youre-glue/
what it's trying to do is basically make their opponent be their own downfall.

I'm wondering if there is an API or any plans of making one. It would be cool to be able to deckcycle, +1 a deck, or add a deck on TappedOut from another website. I've seen the API key on the user settings page but I don't know what that's used for. Can you use it to make authorized calls to an API, sort of like an access token? If there's a pretty functional API someone can even make a 3rd party Android or iOS app. Tagging yeaGO because I'm assuming he's the one in charge of most of this.

Well, there is an app in the process of being made, so.............
In fact, I believe a beta is on the android market.

It's not just for the app. You can do all sorts of things with an API. Like I said, you can +1 a deck from another site, for example, if you wanted to post a link to your deck in a forum signature and then a "+1 on TappedOut" button next to it. Or have a button next to a decklist that would be "Export this deck to TappedOut" which would create a new deck for you with all the cards in the decklist.

There might be secret account stuff associated with the API, so the reason we can't use it is to keep those security measures in check, or it might not function correctly yet.

Usually the reason why you wouldn't want to give out an API key is that someone can make authorized requests for you. If you give out your Facebook API key for example, someone can post statuses for you, send messages to people, etc. The Facebook API key is a lot more well-hidden though lol

This. I would really love to have an api for tappedout.. mostly for personal-use apps, but I can see this being helpful for a lot of people.
