turn 1 lose decks?

I am genuinely confused. how on earth are turn 1 lose decks so damn popular? what good do they do? and more importantly, why does everyone suggest Storm Crow for those decks when over half the blue creatures that exist are so much better and half of that are the same mana cost or less? I just don't get it. can someone explain why? and don't go "it's Storm Crow dude" or "Storm Crow is awesome" I want a legit explanation to this question.

The Q&A is for rules questions only. This will probably go better in the General or Legacy forums.

Storm Crow being good is a joke from Alliances when it was first printed alongside Force of Will. The joke is that any blue card is good because you can pitch it to Force.

apologizes for putting the question here. I was unsure as to where else it could go.

but the thing is in every turn-1 lose deck I've seen they never had Force of Will just a bunch of zero mana spells that make you pay a certain amount of mana or you lose. I just don't get why a person would WANT to lose.

Storm Crow is a joke because of Force of Will, but has grown into enough of a joke on it's own that it doesn't need to be paired for people to think it's funny. Turn-1 lose decks may simply be posted as a joke, or the may be played by people who want to play the game on their own terms, setting their own goals, which may not include winning. Many people come to Magic for many reasons, and play the game differently.
