Hey everyone, I am making a mono green deck and I'm struggling to decide if ramp cards are better then enter the battlefield draw cards. This deck is going to have Genesis Wave in it so I imagine getting the lands out of the deck and onto the battle field could lead to a bigger yield.
What are your thoughts?
If you are looking to play Genesis Wave, the best way to actually go about it I say is good old Llanowar Elves/Arbor Elf plus Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Use Utopia Sprawl and Garruk Wildspeaker to help.

Draw is the best thing you can do in the game. You need to draw that Genesis Wave more than you need to thin out your library if you happen to have it. Also, when you play Genesis Wave you can put those Elvish Visionary etc. onto the board and get value. Farseek and Cultivate does nothing if you hit it with Genesis Wave..

If you're not playing Genesis wave in green, then ramp is actually better in terms of card advantage because you're basically giving yourself extra turns to do more things. Drawing cards gives you more choices, but if you can only do one thing per turn what's the point. There's a reason that standard pro tours had more copies of nissas pilgrimage than the good ol draw two spells. But if you're in Genesis wave, you actually want a good mix of both draw and ramp. You don't need to get to 15 mana by turn five, but you do need to have the wave in hand and be able to cast it for a reasonable amount (5+).

I think the way you want to do it is play Elvish Visionary and Wistful Selkie and play Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to get early mana fast and cast spells like Harmonize to draw Genesis Wave quicker.
