I have not played Arena in a while, so I cannot comment on the actual contents of your thread.

However, since you’re a new user, I feel inclined to inform you that TappedOut really is not a place to discuss or make political jokes, particularly ones not actually backed up by any credible facts. Let’s stick to talking about Magic, shall we?

Societies standards haven't fallen. I'd venture you're just obsessing over a few outlier decks and allowing it to completely warp your sense of reality.

Let’s not talk about politics. And if you don’t want to play against those decks, go to Ranked, don’t play mill for awhile, then you’ll be high enough up that the most cards you’ll probably see is 80.

The moment when you realize that you missed a chance to make a “Will you shut up man?” joke to get someone to stop talking politics....

To make a vague comment on the small shred of actual question here, with little experience with arena, my guess would be that decks are getting larger either for the memes and lolz or to try and combat mill, which has gained some popularity with Zendikar Rising.

Or just because newer players only ever add cards to their deck. It took me years to get my friend to cut cards from his deck (he added about 20 every set). It got to 180+ cards. If op is playing in casual, or in bronze/low silver, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what’s going on. Indecisive opponents.

sergiodelrio Yugioh didn't always have a card limit, so to emphasize this as an issue, 2 judges showed up to a tournament with a 2,222 card shuffle and tutor deck. Shortly thereafter, they set a 60 card limit.

Landfall is fine. Banding is the worst mechanic. Black Panther is a good movie. People have always watched ou ther people play games for entertainment. What do you think sports are? And as for the "hall monitors" comment, Caerwyn is one of the mods, so... Take that as you will, I guess.

All righty, I'm going to close this down. I think you have a legitimate question about the current state of Standard, but you chose to ask the question in a manner that is a tad problematic. When asked to avoid the topic you were attempting to joke about, you instead doubled down and insulted other users. Further, The rest of this thread is now devolving into you posting multiple posts on topics unrelated to your initial question; it appears you no longer care about your initial topic, and are using this thread as a space for ranting.

Again, I see that you are new to TappedOut, and I will give you the benefit of the doubt. TappedOut is not like a lot of other forums--as a whole, the site is rather polite, friendly to one another, and avoids taboo topics. Somewhat amazingly, the inclusive atmosphere of the site is not due to moderation or rules; but a genuinely polite community that instinctively tends to avoid problematic topics of conversation.

We, of course, welcome you to the site and hope you can be a new, welcome member of our community. Just try to read the room and get a better idea of the type of community you have entered.
