Why Was Murder Investigation Not Reprinted in MKM?

WotC reprinted Murder in Murders at Karlov Manor, because it was only too appropriate for that set, so I find it to be very weird that Murder Investigation was not reprinted, as well, considering that the central story of the set involves solving a murder; or was that the actual reason, because that card suggests that the murder and investigation are only a minor part of the story, while this set has those as the main events? If that is the case, surely, WotC could have reprinted that card in one of the Commander decks?
What does everyone else say about this? Why did WotC not reprint Murder Investigation in Murders at Karlov Manor?

Probably not in the main set because it's Detectives who are supposed to investigate the murders, not Soldiers. Could have fit in either the Commander decks or Clue packs though.

I'm pretty sure you'll get a bunch of educated guesses, but no solid answers--nobody here is a WotC employee, as far as I know and expect. Murder Investigation fits thematically, but they could probably make an entire set out of reprints that thematically fit a murder investigation. If it was ever seriously considered for inclusion, it was probably discussed, put in a few lists, then cut to make room for more new goodies.
I can imagine a section of whatever whiteboard they have dedicated to reprints that could fit in each new set and go through line by line.
As far as story goes, Murder Investigation would put one of your expendable creatures as a major target for the culprit of the set. Compared with the other high-profile targets, investigating the murder of a random nameless Goblin is more of a diversion than anything.
So my best guess is that while the name and theme is on point, the actual effect is a little off and they wanted to include more new white uncommon cards.
