Will Angel Tokens Have Vigilance From Now On?

Angel tokens have been part of this game for many years, but, in recent sets, such tokens have had both flying and vigilance, whereas they previously had only flying, and I wonder why that is.

What does everyone else say about this? Do you know why angel tokens now have vigilance in addition to flying, and will this be a permanent change, or only a temporary one?

Probably a set design choice and the inevitable power creep. It all comes down to how strong future sets are, sometimes, in limited blocks a 4/4 flying vigilance is unbeatable, and other times it's just ok. Just really about set context and designers playing around. Least thats my thoughts on it not really an expert or anything.

you really don't need to ask about every little minor change that happens in the game. creatures get better over time. it happens.

as for your final questions, nobody could possibly know a definitive answer to that, because its certainly not a big enough issue that mark rosewater would address it.

also, i just did a quick gatherer search of all cards containing the words "angel", "token", and "vigilance", and found that there is only one single card in the entire game that makes angel tokens with vigilance. that card is Divine Visitation . the fact that only 1 card does what you are talking about, makes your question kinda silly.

oh oops theres Resplendent Angel , but that doesn't really change my point. 2 cards versus 1. still nothing to be concerned about.

these cards likely grant vigilance because the effort required to make the token is higher, therefore the token is better.

It is because we visited dominaria this year - and dominaria inevitably meant Serra Angel , which has both those abilities. I am sure angel tokens will not have this ability going forward.
