CBI - Sigarda's Aid in any Stoneblade variant?

Legacy Deck Help forum

Today in CrazyBrewingIdeas - Sigarda's Aid in a stoneblade deck.
Here's my idea. as we all know, Stoneforge Mystic is a great card with lot's of value. But could Sigarda's Aid make it even better?

The ideal plan would be:
- T1 Aid
- T2 Mystic
- T3 Equipment (Jitte, Skull, Any sword) - directly equiped.

You could potentionally kill any attacking creature or just go HAM with a 5/6 Stoneforge equipped batterskull.

Could this be a thing?

But what does it do if you don't have a stoneforge in hand? I'd rather keep that mana open for like a Spell Pierce or something. I feel like stoneforge jitte doesn't need help; it's good enough as it is.

Okay, maybe not in stoneblade, but maverick or something along those lines? I feel like this could be a thing. It just needs the right shell.

Attaching the equipment for free is nice, and flashing it in if SFM is removed is also good. I definitely think that Sigarda's Aid has potential in D&T, Maverick, and maybe even Abzan Stoneblade.

I play legacy D&T. The card will not see play in D&T, and probably not any other legacy deck either im afraid. There is simply no room for something that just saves you 1-2 mana. Jitte and SoFaI is the only equipments that you pay the equip cost for (usually), and dedicating spots for that seems wasteful. What would you take out for it? Mother of Runes? Flickerwisp? Naaah..
