I just started playing MTG, and it's EDH . But i'm planning on playing Legacy, i love monoblack. SO if you can give some advise on what are the top 3 mono black deck in history . Please free to post it ! :) thanks !
Isn't Pox in Legacy usually Golgari for access to Life from the Loam, Pernicious Deed, and/or Abrupt Decay? I mean, mono-B versions can exist I'm just not used to seeing them anymore.
OP, you're going to have a hard time finding viable mono-B decks in Legacy. There are some, however, where Black is the primary color and everything else is a splash, but given it's Legacy you have to have a good reason to avoid Blue. Stretching the colors away from mono-B into Black-dominated, the best I can think of are: ANT and Reanimator (UB and BR versions exist).

I've seen mono black pox lists, probably more so than Golgari. Although, Pox isn't exactly played all that much, either.

Omeros - i see, so can you give me the best deck that uses Black as its primary color with some splash?

devriz99 I gave you two in my post. ANT - Ad Nauseam Tendrils - and Reanimator. Both are combo decks with the ability to win the first turns of the game, backed by countermagic. Both use the graveyard to some extent although Reanimator folds harder in the face of graveyard hate.

I 2nd. Mono-Black Reanimator.
You get the full hand disruption package with the ability to dumpster a turn 1 Griselbrand or Tidespout Tyrant into play.

Yep, Mono Reanimator is absolutely nuts. They often drop a Lotus Petal, Swamp, into Dark Ritual, Entomb looking for Griselbrand usually, then Reanimate or Exhume. The list is extremely budget friendly for Legacy and can be modified for a splash.

I have mono black pox. It's fun but honestly hard to win with. Not really because the deck sucks, more that you just have to play it damn near perfectly in order to get enough traction. It would be a lot better if I had a tabernacle, but that could be said of most decks haha.

Mono-black decks I've played with in legacy are pox, reanimator, black vise, rackless discard, demon stompy, eldrazi stompy and budget storm.
Rackless dishard would probably be better with racks. It's like pox deck, but more emphasis on land destruction and less conserned about lands. Black vise is closer to stax than pox.

Pox decks are fun, so is Mono- Reanimator, Reanimator being fantastic. There's another rogue combo deck based on Doomsday, but there are some versions that aren't mono .
