I really enjoy goblins and that is why I think I would enjoy them in legacy. Then once I get use to the format I might move up to death and taxes but that would be far down the road. I like the idea of chrome mox and will probably play with that to see if I like it in the deck but I think that warren instigator would be to slow. I don't know thought like I said i'm new to the format.

Yeah, the good thing about goblins is that its easy to switch to D&T (and vice versa).. Im playing D&T and im casually looking for goblins to one day be able to play both.. So far I have the lackeys and the matrons.. If you like legacy, you will enjoy your Wasteland and Rishadan Port in 2 decks :). The thing with Chrome Mox or Lotus Petal is that it allows a turn 1 Warren Instigator. Without Warren i dont think the moxes are worth it.. But with the moxes = Warren Instigator = Goblin Lackey on steroids :).

I actually think Lotus Petal is better than Chrome Mox. Ive never seen a list that plays petal over mox. You dont want card disadvantage in form of Chrome Mox since you run out of gas pretty quickly.. Petal lets you play your Warren Instigator just as well :)

Matthews_Decks im no sideboard expert, but Grafdigger's Cage is a personal favourite that i always run 2 of.. I would replacy the Relics with that since Cage is less mana to stop reanimare and dredge and all that shit :)

Matthews_Decks Is it crazy to splash for sideboard? I guess you don't want to spend on duals since you are new to legacy.. A white splash would do wonders for your sideboard since most awesome sideboard cards are white ;). Plateau is pretty cheap for being an ABUR land, and if you run 3-4 along with fetches you could do 3-4 Swords to Plowshares main if your meta requires it.. Just a thought.. Could Stoneforge Mystic show up in goblins alongside Batterskull and Umezawa's Jitte? Hmmm... maybe theres no room for them, but just a though ;)

Oh, you have the budget to go up to 3 Blood Moon side? The card wrecks most decks in legacy ;)

So for your sideboard, I would suggest the following:
2x Blood Moon, 2x Chalice of the Void, 2x Pyrokinesis, 1x Smash to Smithereens, 1x Shattering Spree, 1x Red Elemental Blast, 2x Pyroblast, 2x Grafdigger's Cage or Surgical Extraction, 1x Goblin Sharpshooter, 1x Eidolon of the Great Revel or Sulfuric Vortex or a 3rd Blood Moon. This covers just about every deck that you should be facing and have a rough time with, with wiggle room to be meta dependant.
For the spaces with options:
Grafdigger's Cage is good against Storm, Reanimator, Elves, Green Sun's Zenith decks, and Dredge; Surgical Extraction is good against Storm, Reanimator, Miracles, and pretty much any other deck that relies on a single spell.
Eidolon of the Great Revel is meant to be exclusively brought in for Storm; Sulfuric Vortex is meant to be exclusively brought in for Miracles; Blood Moon No.3 is meant to be exclusively brought in against Eldrazi.

Seems pretty standard.
Not going for the white version though for Containment Priest, Thalia, etc?
A 1 of chalice is generally awful, and I also quite like having access to Tarfire too.

Long-time Goblin player here.
Your maindeck looks solid.
I would advise against Warren Instigator and the artifact mana plan. Goblins already has problems against turn one Deathrite Shaman and a flipped Delver of Secrets Flip. Warren Instigator kind of sets yourself up to get 2-for-1'd if you don't have something else to do with Chrome Mox.
Skirk Prospector and Goblin Chieftain are other options for mono-red. I'm not a fan of more than 1 Siege-Gang Commander because it usually only comes down off of Goblin Lackey and you only need 1 to win the game. Not to mention, you already have Krenko, Mob Boss. Cutting a Siege-Gang Commander for a singleton Skirk Prospector will improve your mulligans. Or, you get some more explosive power with Goblin Chieftain.
Gempalm Incinerator, Goblin Piledriver, and Mogg War Marshal are all excellent cards. But they're also flex slots due to Goblin Matron acting as Demonic Tutor. If you need more room to mess around with, you can cut down on these guys to play Tarfire, Goblin Rabblemaster, Sparksmith, Pyrokinesis, etc.
Your sideboard looks good except for Pithing Needle. I would just cut those for either more Chalice of the Voids, Umezawa's Jitte, Grafdigger's Cage/Tormod's Crypt (so Dredge can't hit all your hate with Cabal Therapy), Goblin Tinkerer, or Mindbreak Trap.

OK so i made some adjustments to the deck and was wondering what you all thought of the current build?
Thanks for all the great help. So I added 2 Tarfire For one Mogg War Marshal and a Gempalm Incinerator. In the side board I cut the two Pithing Needle for one Grafdigger's Cage and one Chalice of the Void. Then I replaced one Relic of Progenitus for one Grafdigger's Cage.

Your list is pretty straight forward for an ordinary goblins list.. Ive seen a list that runs 4x Chrome Mox and 4x Warren Instigator to act as a second playset of lackeys.. That sounds like a more fun list to me as its more explosive, just like goblins wants.. If you ask me, the Chrome Mox could as well be replaced with Lotus Petal, less card advantage but still the explosive start with Warren Instigator..
Are you at all interested in Death & Taxes? If you are buying into Goblins you have all the expensive cards for Death & Taxes, thats always a plus ;)
edit: Well, except Karakas :/
