Is splashing black worth it?

Legacy Deck Help forum

Hi. Im considering splashing black in my UWR Stasis deck. I want black for Lim-Dul's Vault so i can "tutor" for Ral Zarek and Stasis. Im considering 2 Lim-Dul's Vault and a Badlands (Underground Sea is a bit over my current budget).

Heres my list, with the splash: Tipping the scale (Stasis).

Is it worth it? Do you have any suggestions for blue, white or red cards that could replace Lim-Dul's Vault?

Thanks

Dig Through Time has been doing this for Omnitell. and you don't have to make yourself open to wasteland.

If you want to tutor for statis, Enlightened Tutor is the best way. Also, given that you have 0 creatures, I think Narset Transcendent will fit very well.

Thanks Gspot, Yuri200X and Boza. I do have 2 Dig Through Time in the list and i think thats a good number. One is pretty easy to cast, the second is hard and a hypothetical third would probably just sit in my hand. I did run 2 Enlightened Tutor but half of the time its Ral Zarek i need. I actually tried replacing those 2 with Lim-Dul's Vault, because Lim-Dul finds both Stasis and Ral Zarek for the extra cost of 1-3 life..

Narset Transcendent seems fine. Her + will draw me a card 2/3 of the times. And i like planeswalkers in this deck. Altho, if i were to add another walker it would probably be 1-2 Dack Fayden. He diggs deeper, supports Dig Through Time and takes care of Batterskull.

Keep in mind, even if you use Dack Fayden to steal Batterskull, it's stays equipped to the germ token. You need to also have the mana to move it or it'll keep bashing you.
