Legacy Slivers?
Legacy Deck Help forum

Legacy is my favorite format, but there's only so much money a teenager can get to spend on cards (The fact that a $3000 deck is normal is just beyond me). So, I started this thread to find out which legacy deck I can get into. I tried dredge, but that seemed to broken to play with my friends. High Tide was a cool one, but I keep finding post around the internet saying that it's "The Worst Deck in the Format." Pretty much, I'm tired of looking up budget decks and seeing Burn all the time. Recently, I saw a You Tube video were a guy was playing Legacy Slivers. I tried playtesting the list, and it seemed really decent. Thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback. The only problem I see is that my friends won't play with anyone who has proxies. About the dredge concept, what would be a good replacement for LEDs?

This is a good place to start... competitively speaking.

Point taken on Manaless Dredge, though I heard it was slower than LED dredge. The actual Sliver list that I want to improve upon (Budget and competitive wise) is a non-blue variant.

Ever thought about a death and taxes deck? It can be much cheaper than other decks in the format, and since it's mono white you don't need any dual lands

L0L Yes, I tried making a death $ taxes deck, but All of the people that I've talked to said that D&T is useless without the Karakas and Rishadan Port. If I could get my hands on .a deck, it would be D&T

That's more or less true about D&T. Built properly, it's a mana denial deck but if you don't have all the pieces then it devolves into a janky white weenie deck. Without Karakas and Ports you're better off trying to build Maverick but that puts you back into needing duals.

Good slivers won't be terrible budget friendly. The land base + vials + FoW is going to add up fast. Dredge or burn are where I would start if you are planning to play in fnms or any weekly events. However from the sound of it you're just playing with friends, why not proxy decks and pick on you like and slowly build it?
