Looking for a deck recommendation to play against a beginner

Hey guys,
I've been playing MTG off and on for about a decade now, and a friend of mine is expressing a good deal of interest in learning the game, but is somewhat slow to learn new concepts. I'm having her go through the decks listed at http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/budget-beginner-teaching-decks-3-white/
We're doing them one at a time until she gets used to each one - problem is, I play two types of decks: legacy decks designed to just mess with the flow of the game, and legacy decks designed to win. I'm looking for a recommendation for a good deck to play while she goes through the learner decks - one that will be somewhat evenly matched against all of them. I don't want either of us to be stomping the other one in the ground while we do this. Any thoughts?

Legacy might not be the right format for beginners. A lot of high tier legacy decks involve force of will or other blue control elements, which are daunting to say the least. Have you considered standard or trying welcome decks?

Sticking to legacy for both of us - we both play exclusively among friends, and neither of us wants her to be restricted as to what cards she can choose. I just need a deck that's a good match for the beginner ones she'll be running for now.

Again, the answer is another of the beginner ones. Just because her deck is simple doesn't mean yours doesn't need to be. Just play a bracket of each of the learner decks you've built for her. It'll help teach simple interactions with the opponent as well as reading her own cards.

Legacy eldrazi is extremely easy to pilot and one of the best decks in format.
I hope that's right. Im not super into legacy but I try to keep an eye on the meta.

What about just using a clone of the deck she is using? That way she sees the way that you use the cards and the relevant interactions will come up twice as often.
You can also customize the decks to concentrate on the concepts that she is having the most problems with.

Another good source of decks that are not tool powerful but fun to play are any of the pre-constructed duel decks WOTC has produced. Just look up the decklists and make a clone of one.
Like Blessed vs Cursed, Heroes vs Monsters, Any of the Elspeth vs ones. Just make a clone of the non-white selection and try that. If it's too strong then give your friend a clone of the white deck in the duel set.

You could just play a different one from the same list. It would guarantee, that you too play a deck simple enough to understand and would allow you to explain interactions from both of your plays.
