New Legacy Player Needs Sideboard Help.
Legacy Deck Help forum

I'm just getting into legacy and need some help coming up with a generic sideboard for my Manaless Dredge deck, Manaless dredge. I know that I wont be able to put together a good comprehensive sideboard until I test the deck in my actual meta, I just need a good base to start working off of. I really don't want to spend a ton of money on it if possible. lets say a $20ish limit per card. Any help is appreciated, and yes, I do realize I may be forced to spring for Chalice of the Void which is decidedly over my imposed limit... :(
mathimus55, thank you for the suggestion. Pithing Needle is a very good, low cost option. Unfortunately, I cant run it. My deck has no way to pay the CMC.

I think you want Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite for aggro matchups. It also deals with True-Name Nemesis.
If you're going to play Gitaxian Probe, it needs to be mainboard. Otherwise, it's wasting slots. The same goes for Balustrade Spy and Flayer of the Hatebound. Contagion, Ashen Rider, and Surgical Extraction seem like better choices.
The issue with Leyline of the Void is it puts you down to 6 cards on turn 1, instead of being able to discard and get the engine going.
Noxious Revival is another good sideboard option. It helps protect your graveyard from Deathrite Shaman, or save your Bridge from Below if they try and sacrifice one of their own creatures.

sylvannos, I like elesh norn and noxious revival a lot. The thing about Leyline of the Void is that it come in for the mirror match, and you have to have it.

In the mirror, you hit their dredgers with Surgical Extraction. So when they discard in cleanup on turn 1 or 2, you immediately eat their dredge card that they discard. Then, they have to rely on drawing another card off the top to get the engine going.
If you eat Golgari Grave-Troll or Stinkweed Imp, they're even further behind because they now have to rely on Golgari Thug.
If they're using mana, you get their Bridge from Below or Dread Return. It makes it even harder for them to win.

That's a fair argument, I get what your saying now sylvannos. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah no problem!
By the way, play testing your deck, holy shit is Chancellor of the Forge is some super sweet tech. Casting Dread Return, getting Bridge from Below triggers, then making a ton of goblin tokens? It almost seems better than Flame-Kin Zealot lol.
Makes me wonder why you don't see it more in Dredge lists.

No idea, especially since the basis for this deck is a 2011 article.

sylvannos I did some looking and it turns out that the chancellors are from the first manaless dredge lists. Its the first incarnation so to speak.

Pithing Needle is a pretty universal sideboard card in legacy since there is rarely a match where you can't hit something important with it.
