New to Legacy: Some assistance required

So, I've been playing Magic for a decent amount of time, and I've recently decided on a deck to start up into Legacy: Maverick.

Now, I'm quite unfamiliar with the Legacy metagame, so I was wondering if I could get some input and advice pertaining to my deck:

Black splash for Drs, Lilly, various discard spells and decays? Also NO into progenitus has fallen out of favor since you really have to be alert to a potential Counterspell to have it work out, and progenitus is useless outside of it. Where's batterskull, AKA 90% of why SFM is played.

Yeah, those all make alot of sense. Alot of this list was, admittedly, netdecked, and for whatever reason, none of them had Batterskull in the list, so I thought it wouldn't be good for the deck for some reason I didn't see.

The black splash seems very smart. I wanted to stay 2-colour to make the NO into Progenitus combo work more consistently, but since that's supposedly not exactly good anymore, going to sounds like a very good idea. What would the numbers for Lily and the decays be, assuming that DRS would basically be a 4-of?

These are 3 links to primers on maverick or decks strickingly similar. I played the rock as my first legacy deck before moving to esper and finally miracles. I strongly suggest reading some the the later pages on those forums and figuring out the direction youd like to run with your list.

Thank you very much! I'm gonna read through these for awhile and remake the deck based on the directions these decks shove me in
