I am making a nic fit deck but I don't know whether I should go punishing nic fit or scapeshift. Opinions?

Punishing, definitely. That way, once you get tired of losing with Nic Fit, you at least have your groves and punishing fires to build punighing jund or maverick.

Question partially related: why do legacy players hate nic fit. If the question would dereail the thread too much, please answer on my wall

Nic fit isn't as bad as people think it is. It is perfectly capable of winning and its just a fun deck to play. I'm not looking for anything competitive just a fun deck to play at fnm and with friends.

Legacy players don't hate the deck, they just don't think it's good.

julianjmoss "don't think it's good" implies that it's at least decent. It's not lol.

It won a state championship last year and it isn't bad per say, it's just that the good versions typically border into maverick and are classified as such
