Hey there! So I'm preparing Mono 12-Post for the Legacy Classic this Sunday in Columbus, OH. I'm confident with my minor sideboard tweaks thus far, however am Pondering adding a second Dryad Arbor main board. This mainly because if I draw one, I have another to tutor up.
That being said, I've made a list of pros and cons and could use YOUR thoughts on the matter as well. Here's the pros/cons and my list at the bottom.
Pros:
Green source
Chump blocker for Infect
Sac fodder for Liliana of the Veil's -2 or other Diabolic Edict effect
Ramp for 0 with Green Sun's Zenith
Have another to fetch/tutor if I draw one
Cons:
Summoning sickness and can't use it right away
Which is bad if I want mana up for instant speed Crop Rotation as a Wasteland, Sinkhole, or Vindicate out
Reduces speed overall due to the above because...
Leaves me with 7 immediately usable green sources versus 8; I'd have to take out a forest
It's another non-basic, thus Blood Moon, Magus of the Moon, and Price of Progress would suck even more
And my list-
Mah Mean Green, Stomping Machine (Special ED)!

I fucking hate the fact that Elves plays two Dryad Arbors, but they're a necessary evil in order to speed the deck up. I feel like in a deck like 12post, where you also want to ramp as quick as possible, that you might also have to run two.
You're basically weighing potential speed vs. getting fucked over by drawing it. And since you're not running blue, you need that potential extra speed, same as elves.
