Better sb wipes in black/x

Which is a better legacy sweeper? Engineered Explosives or Black Sun's Zenith? I already run Dread of Night for specific death and taxes and mentor hate. I've also considered Engineered Plague for either Young Pyromancer, goblins, elves or merfolk. Still on the fence about those. Don't say Damnation. It's overcosted, and you're usually already dead by t4 or 5 when you'd cast it. I can pop on t2 or 3, but it's unlikely. If you get Dazeed you're particularly dead, anyway, with a 4cc spell. I like the new Virulent Plague, but it may allow pyromancer too many turns to get going, and draw a counter. Still love Night of Souls' Betrayal, but it's only playable in modern. Then again, you need to hit bsz for at least one, which also means three mana. An eternal dilemma.

I like Toxic Deluge personally. Total wipe on turn three, hits anything including indestructible, usually you don't have to invest too much life.

Yeah, pretty sure Toxic Deluge is about as good as it gets.

I have found Killing Wave to be pretty decent in most matchups, and Toxic Deluge has work out for me very well. Engineered Plague is very good, but can't on its won kill a swift spear, unfortunately. If you are mostly concerned with things that have one toughness, theres Marsh Casualties, Nausea, and Shrivel. Then there's of course Virtue's Ruin and Nature's Ruin but i don't know if those colors matter to you. Also Damnation is fine, it is the only true answer for when your spot removal doesn't work. You shouldn't be waiting until turn 4 to get rid of things, but it is a great answer when no other answer will work.

Also an old but good one is Pernicious Deed

Also Illness in the Ranks kills pyro tokens without any issues.

Toxic Deluge and Marsh Casualties are the best ones. (Marsh casualties doesn't even kill your guys!)

Casualties is pretty hillarious. Of course, as for the other -1s, I'd just run Golgari Charm. It's just better.
