I don't understand this, but how is it that Slaughter Games is never spotted in Legacy? Maybe it's just me, but I think this would be an AMAZING side-board card if anything, and personally; I'd side it in almost every game. A Jund Nic-Fit deck sounds perfect. Easily cast it thanks to Veteran Explorer and Cabal Theropy, that Red splash could do wonders. I guess R/B decks just aren't played too much, but I just couldn't see anything wrong with that.
Or maybe I'm crazy, is it being used in Legacy more than I've been noticing? I'm thinking even Pox decks could splash red for it... Slaughter Games , Dreadbore , Blightning , Lightning Bolt , Hymn to Tourach |... Some amazing cards could go into a Legacy Rakdos deck... Rakdos/Jund...
Thoughts?

For a Pox deck, it's too expensive. Pox decks tend to run cheap spells due to the land destruction, In terms of Legacy as a whole it's still quite expensive to cast. If you're alive on turn four in a Legacy match and you cast Slaughter Games you're probably dead next turn.

I guess that is true... I guess I was focusing on a Nic-Fit Jund approach. Just because the card doesn't even have to be in a graveyard for it to work. Usually turn 2 you know what deck your opponent has (turn 1 is still very possible), so I guess my mind was thinking of the removal aspect alone. I mean I have seen Nic-Fit cast a Grave Titan before, so 4 mana wouldn't be much, and Veteran Explorer helps get all the land you need with the sacrificing mechanic, so color wouldn't even be an issue.. Not like it ever is with Fetch Lands though.. I guess I can see it work in that deck, but maybe that deck alone.

For 4 mana at Sorcery-speed, you either need to be casting Jace, the Mind Sculptor , the oddball Supreme Verdict , or a card that just instantaneously wins you the game...
... like Jace.

Legacy where the most anyone will pay for a card is 3.

To be fair Sidneyious, I stated for a "Jund Nic-Fit" a few times, and that's a deck that plays Grave Titan , and Jace, the Mind Sculptor is only $150 because he's actually played, and my final input is Elves, where they cast Eldrazi for the fun of it.
Not to mention that the card is a control card, meaning it'd fit in a control deck. And those decks can get 4 mana easy, and still counter their opponents cards without the need for land.

The only Deck that I could see Running that card ( I love sluahgter games btw i use it alot in Modern) is a deck that had it sidebaorded and brought it in to stop a Blue Combo by taking a very needed piece. a Very popular combo is a Deadeye Navigator , and Palinchron so you exile one of the pieces. Other than that that card is jsut too expensive and too slow in Competive Legacy. Personally also why play Legacy? Its broken.

personally, The Wizard sees no reason not to play Surgical Extraction . As a tournament player, odds are you know the inner workings of a deck and can pull it apart so why not?

i currently have a black/red deck i actually use Memoricide instead of Slaughter Games to me the 3 and one black mana cost is easier the 2 and one black and one red

Because 4 CMC for that effect in Legacy is pretty bad. Most decks would rather play Surgical Extraction or Extirpate if they even play an effect like that at all.
