Hello, I am thinking of building a legacy deck (lgs started having events). I have not played any legacy, being mainly limited or edh player since returning 4 years ago. Problem is I dont know what to build, as either way Im going to have a lot of trading to do.
I have 4 gaea's cradles, 4 of each fetch, and 2 of each ABUR dual land. So was thinking elves, but don't know if that is considered a powerful deck in legacy. I know one player plays storm, and another plays mono blue delver. Nothing beyond that.
I own 1 FoW, but I'm not a big fan of blue. But will consider it. When playing I like attacking, and blowing stuff of opponents up to limit their ability to win.
Elves exists and has been made better and worse in refent times with the addition of cards like Leovold, Emissary of Trest and Fatal Push. It is certainly still a deck tho and one that can reward clever, careful play.
Cradle can also go in Mavrick decks if you feel like playing something a little more midrangey.

Elves is an awesome combo deck. At a lgs, a good player would wreck shop with elves. Having fetch lands and duals is a darn good start for most decks though.

Considering you have the fetches, ABURs and Cradles, you already have the most prohibitevely expensive parts of Elves, it is is the most reasonable thing to build. Elves is a pretty powerful deck, capable of easily comboing out on tuurn 3 or grinding the opponent down with attrition. It is resilient to hate, great against fair decks and usually placing very well in large tournaments.

elves is definitely a powerful legacy deck.
