Is it ever worth dazing someone even if they have mana open?

I can only think it would be worth it against combo.

It depends.

I've Dazed before just to stop them vomiting their hand or a synergistic play.

If it is more valuable to set them back 1 mana on their key turn then setting yourself back 1 mana every turn for a couple turns and discarding a card, then yes, it is worth it. It is super situation specific but in the dark, I'd say no. If they are using the mana you are stopping them from having, just counter what they use it on instead.

Tough call. I'd say no in early game, but mid- and late-game? Yeah, I'd use it then.

As a caveat, it also depends entirely on what you're playing, especially in legacy.

I'd be using it in my merfolk deck, Watch the Waters (Several Updates!).
