Hallowed Moonlight vs Containment Priest

I really like Hallowed Moonlight that were spoiled today. Heres the card for anyone who might have missed it:
Now, my question are specific to Death & Taxes, sideboard. Is this card better than Containment Priest? Sure D&T likes bodies to swing with, but Containment Priest does shut down AEther Vial and hallowed moonlight doesnt. HM also cantrips.. So, better or worse?
Both Hallowed Moonlight and Containment Priest shut down AEther Vial, so that argument is irrelevant. Unless you're talking about how Hallowed Moonlight stops it for a turn, but even then I don't necessarily it's worth it. I don't play Legacy, but I imagine that Containment Priest is still better because of AEther Vial and the fact the ground should be clear to get in for damage.

Gspot you have a point with the Thalia nonbo..
JWiley129 HM doesnt shut down vial, as you use vial first that turn..

Playing Containment Priest off of Vial makes it uncounterable and Priests clause only triggers after its on the field allowing you to play it. Priest will never cost 3 because of Thalia which is great. Additionally, If you're putting Containment Priest on the field you're doing it to hinder your opponent more than yourself. I'd rather have Priest vs something that relies on cheating creatures onto the field (like Reanimator) than Hallowed Moonlight as before the opponent can move on they have to get the Priest off they board instead of just waiting a turn. All this is assuming you're playing Death and Taxes of course.

I think you would rather have the ongoing effect from the priest over the cantrip from moonlight. Plus as mentioned above, being able to cheat out Containment Priest is a huge plus in a format of Daze, Force of Will and the like. A 2/2 can then go on the offensive after shutting down whatever it is that needed shutting down

If you turn off your own AEther Vial to prevent an Emrakul from entering the battlefield, I'd call that a win.

Makes having thalia worse. I'd run priest. priest also can be put in with vial which is important so you can use your wastelands and ports aggressively.
