Legacy Deck Complete

Technically this is the second time I've completed a legacy deck, however the first one played DRS so I've dismantled it and traded the value cards to build this deck.
Only 2 ABUR Duals (and 2 shocklands) because of budget, but since I only play at my LGS it's fine.
The sideboard (along the right) has 16 cards right now because I can't decide what to cut.
Anyway, I feel proud and excited to play it in paper, so I thought I'd share.

All 3 lists that have popped up in the post-ban meta have had 2 lavamen in the 75, but no agreement on main vs side. I'm trying out 2 main to see if I like them. They shoot down delver, stoneforge, and d&t creatures, and that already makes them good against a good portion of the meta. If they feel bad in the main I'll move them to the side.
RIP is so good vs RUG delver, which has been a problem deck for me. I'm more tempted to cut a containment priest. But that's probably incorrect. I'll try out 2 RIP and if I feel like I want to draw it more I'll bump back to 3. But you're correct that density of blue cards is a concern.

I’m more so along the lines of thought that you are a blue deck, get plenty of card selection as it is via a full play set of ponders and bs. If you were dnt I’d understand more.
If you are really worried about rug, I’d focus on splitting my lines of attack rather than just focus on gy hate. Maybe something like blessed alliance or path for budget. CJ and EE are safe bets (although expensive). I personally like dropping steam vents for a basic and adding a lone mountain into the sb. It lets you safely play your red blasts against them. Otherwise I don’t think i like the steam vents against rug. V clique is probably the safest option for the sb cuz it hits a variety of decks.
Can you afford jaces or teferi? Those would be really nice for the mb over the delver and daze package. Playing swords and delver alongside each other feels awkward to me, as delver excels as a tempo threat. Why are you splashing white in a delver deck over mb red or black or why are you splashing delver into a stoneblade deck? Blue Stoneforge mystic decks have historically performed best as control decks. I’ve seen one UW delver deck, but they went with mentor instead of sfm. Have you considered that?

I'd mainboard a mountain if I had red fetch lands. Getting scalding tarns is on my to-do list, but it's going to be awhile. They're expensive.
I don't want to take this the Jace or Teferi route. If I get more controlling then the lack of dual lands will hurt more.
I think I've learned that I can beat RUG delver by virtue of my cards are on average better than theirs. If they get to Daze my turn 2 Stoneforge Mystic, then they probably don't have another for my turn 3 True-Name Nemesis. Stifle is real good against me, but with more practice I think the matchup will be winnable. Unfavored, but winnable.
Swords alongside Delver isn't so bad. It doesn't strike me as any worse than True-Name Nemesis alongside Delver of Secrets Flip. True name is neither a fast clock nor an efficient card. But nobody questions it because True-Name is just a powerful card that wins games regardless of not looking good next to Delver. Swords is similar. When I'm trying to get them with Delver it's much more important to kill their Baleful Strix or SFM, which only gives them 1 life but lets me keep going with Delver. Sure, bolt kills those things too, but I can only play 4 bolt. And if I use Swords to kill something frightening like Endbringer or Knight of the Reliquary then it was worth it. I won't be getting them with Delver anymore, but I'm also not dead.
Delver is worth playing because it wins games against combo. Swords and SFM are worth playing because they win games against fair decks.

I took it to it's first LGS tournament tonight and finished 3-1. I'm pretty happy with how it performed. I beat TES, lost to Lands (very close match though), beat Dream Halls combo, and beat mono-U Show and Tell. I know this is far from the best deck in the meta, but it's super fun and can win games.

Woohoo! Congrats my dude! I just finished mine too and will post soon!
Mb grims are spicy. Is that a meta call?
I’d cut the 3rd rip. 2 is already kinda medium tbh and the 3rd feels really bad in a blue deck. See if you can trade for some surgicals.
