Mono-R Sneak Attack?

I've been considering getting into legacy for a while now, and I saw someone playing a mono-R Sneak Attack deck at my LGS a few days ago. It looked great fun to me and ran Blood Moon, Magus of the Moon and Grissy + Emrakul.
Is this a good idea? Is it even a good deck? And about how much does it cost in the grand scheme of things? I don't want to drop a shit load of money but I do know that legacy is somewhat more expensive than Modern or EDH.

Well, Sneak Attack, Grizzly, and Emmy are salty cards and are four ofs. It's probably cheaper to run mono 
vs 
/ Sneak & Show, though, but the Izzet version runs Force of Will and what not to protect itself. Therefore, the cheaper version is just that, but less competitive/effective.
You could run Lotus Petal, Gitaxian Probe, and Simian Spirit Guide to speed the mono deck up. But, if you're going to drop that kinda cash, invest in Volcanic Island and FoW.

Unless you want to play burn or manaless most decks in legacy cost a shit load of money.

The expensive cards are: Emmy, Sneak Attack, Griselbees, City of Traitors, and Ancient Tomb.
In total it costs about $1000. Most of the expensive cards also go into sneak and show if you want to build up to it.

Here is a list that looks pretty standard, I don't actually play the deck. The full deck is about 2k but about a third of that is 3 volcanic islands which could be replaced by steam vents until you could acquire them

Yeah in sneak and show the damage is pretty negligible

You could start with the mono red version, and work your way into the Izzet. The cards aren't rotating any time soon... ;-)

if you play a 0 mountain build, you can sub tarns for deltas/strands whatever youre not playing, and most of these cards can be had for much less if you use facebook groups to buy cards.
cards like force sell around $80-90, saving you up to $100 right there, volcs can be had for under $200 each, use 2 vocls and 1 steam vents and you saved another $200 lol
but mono red is cool and takes a lot of decks off guard, it finished in 9th awhile back in a scg legacy open

It's fine on a small scale like at an lgs but you lose out in a lot by not playing blue
