Should dredge Think Twice about it's usual cantrips?

Basically I was wondering if playing Think Twice would be a good idea in legacy dredge? You can cast it from the yard and from your hand though I know 2 cmc is a bit high

I assume this is mana'd dredge that has all those rainbow lands? If so, I feel that Faithless Looting is just better because it's cheaper and does more for your deck.

There's no reason to play it over Breakthrough, Faithless Looting or Careful Study. They draw more cards for less mana and you actually want to discard the cards after since you want your dredgers to be in your graveyard.

As this is a conversation about a card in legacy rather than an actual decklist I've moved it to the legacy forum.

Why not both?

It would decrease the speed of the deck. Dredge wants to draw cards and also throw creatures into the yard. Faithless Looting and Careful Study already do this, and Faithless Looting can be cast from the graveyard. So it isn't really necessary to use Think Twice.

You really don't need both. The whole point of mana dredge is it gives up some of that speed for consistency and power. It has faithless looting/careful study and everything else serves an important propose in the deck

magicnerd0815, Breakthrough is way better than Think Twice in dredge. It gets 6-7 cards in the grave for 1 mana.

awesomeguy37 I don't really get why you're tagging me since that's exactly what I said.
