Stoked about duals acquisition

I recently picked up, on eBay, a Revised MP Bayou for $119, a SP Unlimited Scrubland for $105, and two LP Wasteland for $87. It's the most I've ever dropped for on cards, but couldn't be more pleased. I've also spent a few days on the couch as a result lol.
But seriously I'm freaking stoked!!! Anyone else relate?

It's crazy how the true market value of these high end cards are much different than how we value them on TCG mid prices isn't it? I almost pulled the trigger on some revised duals right before eternal masters was released and MP Plateaus were going for about $40, MP Savannahs $50, and MP Taigas about $55.

EndStepTop shiny stuff rocks!!! I'm about half done with two of my Legacy decks. Shiny stuff just feels fantastic!
rockleemyhero IKR?!?! TCG mid is definitely for graded NM cards. Some sellers, and buyers for that matter, fail to realize this. I actually prefer buying played duals, because then I know they're authentic.
In that note, I've seen some suspiciously pristine cards on eBay. They look a bit off, like the color and definition from Unlimited but have Revised wording.

The tcg mid shows average price of cards for sale on that site. EBay goes by what people are willing to bid at that moment. I picked us a sp trop island for 167, a l.p. savanna for 55, and a l.p. plateau for 45 beginning of this month on ebay. Right before I picked up a sp plateau and volcanic island through puca trade

I'm currently getting super excited because my first Legacy tournament is this Tuesday. My store just started doing Legacy tournaments because of Eternal Masters but they allow players to use a few playtest cards in their decks, so between borrowing some cards from a friend and what I already had from my modern deck, I was able to build Grixis Delver for Legacy. Not quite getting ABURs or foils, but I am so excited to get into the format.

pskinn01 how did you manage to pick up a blue dual on puca?? Did you offer a bonus or something?

Tundra I picked up MP for 75% of points cause my user name was SP/MP duals ok. Underground sea I got for 10% bonus right before the spike, and volcanic island I got for TCG MID (as puca had it lower). My profile (linked above) shows the total spent on each of the 5 biggest trades. Two of the 5 duals I got off of puca were from people I sent expeditions to.
I was told that by having your user name state you'd accept SP/MP it helps get older higher end cards.
As I am a player, I don't mind giving full points for older/reserve list cards as long as they are LP/SP.

I was pretty stoked to get an MP Volcanic Island off a guy at my local LGS for $150! It isn't even in that bad of a shape if you're not looking at the back of the card. I was also stoked to get 3 FoWs for $57 each when Eternal Masters was announced and everybody was rushing on ebay to sell their FoWs. I found the only guy auctioning off 3 instead of a playset and got them on the super-cheap. They're NM and in much better shape than the 1 I already had (they're real, I checked).

Nice folks! I didn't get a superb deal, but payed below market value for a playset of MM15 Tarmogoyf, another LoTV, and two Wasteland. I also have the opportunity to pick up a Candelabra of Tawnos for $300.00...

Though I finished out my lands collection a couple years ago, I'm still super stoked because some of the local shops are going to start scheduling unsanctioned N-proxy Legacy events soon. That means my friends and I don't have to worry about spending any proxy slots on our mana bases!

When I got my foil Counterbalances I was really pumped. I bought them about an hour before legacy fnm, I can't describe how long that hour felt waiting to use them.
