Treasure Cruise and Monastery Swiftspear win at SCGNJ
Legacy forum

Bob Huang's U/R Delver deck just took down the SCGNJ Legacy. I know you're all going "so what, Fluffy, it Legacy, and Delver IS Legacy." Well, he ran 4 Monastery Swiftspear
and 4 Treasure Cruise
and it certainly looked like they found a good home.
I know there was a thread about replacing Young Pyromancer with the swiftspear, but, as it turns out, he kept Pyromancers in the deck. The deck hasn't been posted yet, but I'm guessing it'll be up tomorrow morning.

Ah, I knew I loved the Swiftspear. If only it were common, I could play it in Pauper in my Izzet Delver deck. Treasure Cruise might be doable in pauper though. Sorcery speed will probably keep it out of top tier builds though.

I just watched the replay and Bob had a turn where we swung with two Insectile Aberration Flip s, a Young Pyromancer with 1 token, and a 3/4 Monastery Swiftspear to drop his opponent (on Reanimator) to 1 with a Griselbrand in play. It was NUTS!
Also, I didn't see him cast Treasure Cruise for more than 2 mana. I believe that's what is called in the "business" #Value.

This is crazy imo. 2 random commons/uncommons from Khans of Tarkir were used in a deck. They're very good commons, but its just crazy that it made it.

What's more, it's not like he played one random Treasure Cruise ...he played a full set of four.

@ sylvannos It's actually a hilarious card in Legacy, it draws you three cards and shrinks your opponent's Tarmogoyf .

@fluffybunnypants: Not to mention major style points. It puts the "delve" back in "delver."

Btw, this deck is making me think about getting into Legacy. I've already got my cart filled up and am waiting to buy them. Note: I'm waiting on getting the fetches, Volcanic Island , and Force of Will as they're expensive as balls.
