What's magic online's legacy meta like?

I'm wondering what decks pop up most online
Second question (to avoid double posting), why doesn't ANT play Entomb as a way to tutor Past in Flames

I have no idea about the first question.
For the second question, ANT doesn't play Entomb because it isn't good. Multiples of the card are almost completely dead and you don't really have anything to cut for it. In addition ANT will rarely want to cast PiF without having acccess to Infernal Tutor and this means. Also you will often be able to cast all of your rituals then cast IT for PiF and recast everything and tendrils for lethal. Entomb ads BBB on to the mana cost of that line which is going to be too expensive most of the time.

3rd question, ignoring monetary issues what deck would be most favoured against the online meta? (Got 2000 tickets coming from selling 2 modern and a standard deck)

yeah burn is seen a lot mostly because its affordability and a lot of people think its super easy to play. you also see a lot of storm and omni-tell variants.

What do you like to play? Fair? Combo? Control? Burn?
It's more about understanding your deck and the matchups than it is the deck, at least when you're working with a T1 deck.
For the record, I'm partial to one of the different BUG decks, but that's just me. I love me some Abrupt Decay.

Look through and see what you like. Or maybe watch some videos on how the various decks play out. I can list what I like to play and why but that doesn't mean you and I like the same things, you know?
If you have extra tickets after you pick out your deck it's generally a good idea to invest in manabases and other staples.

Ahh I see I see. So combo more than fair? Elves is my personal favorite of the combo decks, there's a ton of lines you can take and different ways to play each hand out. It can win on it's own but a good pilot can do some wild plays. Price-wise it's not so bad either, compared to the other Legacy decks out there.

I spend a lot of time looking at decks at MTG Goldfish. They take into account major live events and then the online dailies and other MTGO events. So it's not 100% just MTGO but it's pretty close.
