Custom Cards Created For Cube

I love alliteration. Anyways, I am constructing my Super Multicolour Cube of Deadly Death and I am curious as to how I can expand it beyond its current size of 400 or so cards. See, there aren't many multicolour cards that I either want or can acquire left, and many multicolour cards often do similar things.

So I was wondering if anyone has ever had experience creating their own custom cards for proxying up and sleeving into their Cubes, and how you might go about doing it or designing them. On paper I think it could be a really good idea for my cube: you add to the size of your Cube with appropriate multicolour cards, they don't cost much at all in therms of money, and could even fill a hole or two in what your colour combinations can do (such as flying destruction here or combat trickery there). With sensible design I think this could be okay.

Thoughts?

For funsies, here are some crap multicolour commons I have designed. May not ever get into the Cube, but still I'm just showing how I like to design. Kudos to anyone who can work out what card the first one is a tribute/ripoff of.

the first one is referring to Cannibalize yeah? as for proxying in a cube with custom cards I've seen many people do it, just let people know before hand...i have seen some salty people claiming a card was "broken" because they picked bad

That's right!! Oh if only Cannibalize was redone in the Modern border... anyways, I'm glad I'm not alone in trying this practice. While I expect some design duds on my end, I think that my designs are normally quite sensible Additionally, if a card does prove particularly busted or dysfunctional, it can quite quickly be replaced with a new one.

Remember: It's okay to make a mistake about a card's power level in cube, as long as it gets corrected. Take it from me. (The card in question was Helvault. long story.)

I had the same experience actually, with the card in question being Sands of Delirium. That turned out to be really, REALLY good in the Cube I built for some reason, so I toned it down to a Grindclock.

Throttling Bramble there is worded incorrectly. It was meant to mean the blocked creature gets -1/-1, but the way it is currently worded it looks like the Bramble get -1/-1.
