Drafting IMA, what is it like?

Limited forum

Hello,

with the full set of A25 spoiled... I don't find it very appealing. For that reason I looked back at IMA, which has a lot of cards I find interesting.

I can get a box of IMA for a price I consider very good (130 euros) and am thinking of getting it to draft with friends.

As I never got to draft IMA, my question is: how is the limited experience? What were your experiences when drafting it? Has anyone played it in 2HG?

(One day I'll finally get myself to make a cube... but that is not this day)

I only went to one draft but it's been my favorite draft ever (never got to do the fabled INN-INN-INN draft). The archetypes are pretty easy to draft, and are powerful so you have good games. Also, there's just enough fixing that you can do some pretty awesome three-color decks to add a little flavor to the archetypes. For example, in the one I did I was in G/W +1/+1 counters and then was able to splash red for Savageborn Hydra - nothing like throwing that bad boy down when you have an Abzan Falconer on the board lol.

130 Euros sounds pretty fair too. The set has some pretty sick reprints in it. I know it went over like a lead balloon but I thought it was a really good set.

Thanks for the information :)

I'll definitely try to pick up a box asap at this price (especially because some friends let me know they're quite interested to draft).

The archetypes being pretty easy is very good cuz they're not that experienced with limited.
