What to do

Limited forum

I want to hold a limited event at my house with some of my friends but I'm not sure what set to pick. I was thinking about a KTK Draft because I heard that it was really fun and I would love to open a fetch. I was also thinking about buying some Oath Prerelease packs and doing a mock 2HG Oath Prerelease. Another option is Gatecrash Sealed because we recently did RTR sealed so this would be the other five guilds. (Also, opening a second shock would be cool!) I want to hear what you guys have to say. Feel free to base your opinion on both fun and financial value. And of course, if you have any advice for hosting an event in general, feel free to post it. Thanks!

Conspiracy is always fun. It's pretty inexpensive to buy a box.my friends and I did that and had a blast! It also has pretty nice financial value as well.

I was thinking about Conspiracy (and to be honest, I still kinda am) but with all of the weird mechanics and draft interaction, I seems above my friends comprehension and they might really mess up. I say that because every time I've held a draft, they have always messed up and drafted wrong.

My buddy hosted a KTK draft last Sunday. Pulled three fetches alone. The money was pretty real. Delta, Strand, and the Foothills. I cleaned house that day. KTK is fun to draft.

As for hosting the event, make sure everyone is aware of how to draft properly, make sure you've got plenty of basics, and give people space to build decks if you can.

One thing I love doing with my friends is Wacky Draft. Everyone brings 3 boosters they want to draft, doesn't matter what set or block. I'll often take a Conspiracy pack, a pack from the block that just cycled, & one from RTR block (for mana fixing/color splashes).
