Fate of Ajani?

Lore forum

Hey guys, I haven't been able to play in awhile, but I'm getting back in. However, I do have a lore question: what happened to Ajani? I understand that he was kinda defeated when Elspeth died, and he hasn't shown up in the new sets (as far as I know), but does anyone actually know what happened to him? I'm genuinely curious.

Thank you,Jack Riottech

Someone correct me if i am wrong, but i believe that in the last story he was part of they said something along the lines of:

He is still on theros, hanging with brimaz and the leonin there. But his current plans are to get "revenge" on the gods of theros for what heliod did to elspeth. By teaching the people that the gods draw power from the beliefs of the people. and that if the people dont want the gods to have power over them, they need to stop believing in them.

So really he is just trying to make the people of theros stop believing in the gods.

Next year, when we return to Theros (personal speculation), we will see how he is leading a rebellion against the gods and that Elspeth will come to life in the second block.

BozaCalling it.

B/W Elspeth planeswalker. Calling it

Calling. Too much flavor to not call it.

And I imagine ajani along the lines of being R/W again.

I think we may see a RGW Ajani instead.

I agree with the BW Elspeth.

I would be mortified to see a zombie Elspeth. Elspeth is by far the BEST planeswalker character out there. Here is the story link: http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/ajanis-vengeance-2014-07-23 I am guessing he had some part of the lore in M15

Bro, I'm right here. No need to talk behind my back.

But in all seriousness, Ghostkitten2 is correct. Ajani is smoking a bulb and drinking cat beer with his bro Brimaz, and pretty much trying to topple the gods, mainly Heliod.

I imagine he's going to draw the ire of the gods. That won't end well for him.

MindAblaze, He's a planeswalker though. If the gods try to mess with him he can just leave the plane.

Didn't work that well for Elspeth now did it?
