How would planeswalkers function as creatures?
Lore forum

Aside from Nicol Bolas , I was wondering to myself "What if Garruk's massive 8'2", 480 pound ass was a creature?" What would his P/T be, abilities, mana cost, etc...? Not just for Garruk but for all the iconic awesome planeswalkers (not Tibalt though because he sucks massive D).

True, Gideon is a creature most of the time anyway. However, take Garruk, for example. You see a man towering over you at something like 2 and a half meters tall, 480 FRICKIN POUNDS of nothing but tankflesh, having been raised by wolves or some crap and eats bears for breakfast.
Personally, I think garruk would be like a 7/8 trampler with this ability: (3GG, tap: Garruk fights another target creature. If that creature would die this way, put a +1/+1 counter on Garruk and you gain 3 life). His casting cost would be like 6GGG or something.

I'm gonna move this to Lore because it will inevitably dip into lore.

Jace would be efficiently costed, with higher power than toughness, and have a very competitive ability. Otherwise he simply would not get expensive enough.

This one is so stupidly overpowered, it isn't even funny.

Venser, the Sojourner already has a creature in the form of Venser, Shaper Savant who is pretty good.
October 14, 2013 10:58 p.m.
Karn Liberated also has a non-PW version... Karn, Silver Golem
Though that was him before ever having the spark... now that he has gained, and then lost, the spark he would probably be a little more powerful as a creature.

Ajani would be a 3/3, Doublestrike, with 2W: Ajani gains Lifelink until end f turn, and 2WW: put a 2/2 cat creature token onto the battlefield.
Chandra would be a 3/2 Haste, with Guttersnipe ability, and Chandra's Pheonix's return ability.
Liliana would be Nightmare 's P/T with "BB-T: Each opponent choses one - Sacrifice a permanent, or Discard 2 cards. A Player may not choose to discard cards in this way unless they have 2 or more cards in hand."
...And of course, Tibalt would essentially be a devil Kobolds of Kher Keep with "When Tibalt dies, he deals 1 damage to each opponent", and "Sacrifice Tiabalt: Draw a card, then discard a card at random"
October 15, 2013 1:21 p.m.
Oh... add Intimidate to Liliana's abilities... to give them each 1 "evergreen" ability.
Liliana = IntimidateChandra = HasteGarruk = TrampleJace = HexproofAjani = Doublestrike (or Firststrike if Double is too powerful)

I wanna continue this so HERE WE GOOO!
Tibalt, Master of BDSM
RB
Legendary Creature - Devil
Whenever Tibalt, Master of BDSM deals combat damage it deals double that damage to its controller, that damage can't be prevented.
Haste, Fear.

(Give him Lifelink and its all good, innuendo with Whip of Erebos FTW)
Elspeth, Hero of Dawn
WWW2
Legendary Creature - Knight
Indestructible, Lifelink, Vigilance.
When Elspeth, Hero of Dawn deals combat damage to an opponent destroy all other creatures.
2/2

So basically if you use Whip of Erebos , the player becomes a masochist and enjoys being whipped by Tibalt?
November 20, 2013 10:45 a.m.
The opponent becomes the masochist tho, Tibalt is a sadistic mofo.

ummm, @CW the sorin is way too overpowered, he forms an infinite loop with himself and kills your opponent the second he deals damage, even worse with an ability that instantly kills, you should at least have higher mana cost than WWBB1, with the ability WWWWBBBB4 if you want him as a wincon
November 23, 2013 6:09 a.m.
bantam1234 How does he form an infinite loop? When he deals damage, you will gain 3 life and then his ability will trigger causing your opponent to lose 3. Nothing else will happen.

lord_of_the_snakes says... #26
wait, nvm, misread the ability, if he was dealing damage with the ability, then he would instakill

even if he did form an infinite loop, WWWWBBBB4 is way too expensive. 12 mana for a wincon is ridiculous. Now, a better cost for said loop would be WWWWBBBB. Hard AF colors to scrounge up.
November 23, 2013 1:46 p.m.
It would be like the Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood Loop, but you would need Sorin and Exquisite Blood rather than both
November 23, 2013 3:25 p.m.
What about Vraska the Unseen being a 4B/G named "Vraska, murder of the blinds"with deathtouch and "when Vraska deals damage to an opponnent that player loses the game"it should be a 2/3 or something like that
November 24, 2013 4:54 p.m.
Sarkhan the Dragon Shaman
Legendary Creature-Human Shaman
3RG
Whenever Sarkhan is dealt damage, if it would destroy him, prevent that damage and transform him.
4/5 haste
flip
Sarkhan the Sadistic Psychopath
(R/B)
Legendary Creature-Dragon Berserker
Flying, trample
9/9

well Gideon Jura animates into a 6/6 and Gideon, Champion of Justice a X/X based on loyalty. I think any of the jaces would probably be 3/2 or 2/3 or something with a crazy ability
