The Vorthos in me loves DemonDragonJ's commander by home plane, so I wanted to expand that to all eligible commanders and legends. Don't nitpick me, but I am also including Planeswalkers and some unofficial commanders in this list due to them being notable figures in magic lore, and some casual circles use them as commanders. Placements are made due to lore reasons and my best judgement. Several planes have pretext to explain some categorization choices. I'll update this list over time of course. Currently Updated to Innistrad, Crimson Vow (VOW, 2021).
Alara Show
Alara was once a massive plane, but was shattered into 5 shards, each with access to only 3 colors of mana, during an event known as the Sundering, when an unknown planeswalker drained the plane of most of it's mana. During the conflux, the planar shards slowly started rejoining and "leaking" into each other, until Alara was fully reborn as a whole plane.

Dominaria (Pre-Mending) Show
This is Dominaria prior to an event called "The Mending of Dominaria." This event fundamentally altered the planeswalker spark for the entirety of Dominia. Legends placed here have cards in Future Sight or an Earlier Set. Dominarian Legends that exist pre and post mending (Like Teferi), will only have their cards placed here if those cards are set Pre-Mending.

Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician
Dominaria Alternate Show
In the events of Planar Chaos, rifts were opening up both between timelines and into alternate histories. Alternate History Dominarian Legends are placed here.
Dominia Show
Dominia is another name for the Magic: the Gathering Multiverse, and includes all the canon planes, was well as the space in between them (The Blind Eternities). Technically every creature is from Dominia, but the creatures noted here are known to be "Multiversal," and are often primordial essences, or from the Blind Eternities.

Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer -Brudiclad is a weird case, as he is obviously a Phyrexian Compleated Creature, highly suggesting New Phyrexia as a plane of origin, however, his lore states he appeared during the Time Spiral Crisis on Dominaria. All timeshifted creatures came from a possible alternative Dominaria future. It is unclear if Brudiclad is from a timeline where New Phyrexia is invading Dominaria, or if he is from a timeline where Dominaria has been conquered by Phyrexians. So the place of origin is equally contested btwn New Phyrexia and Dominaria.
B.O.B. (Bevy of Beebles) -Beebles are a creature type that has only been previously seen on Dominaria, but this is an UN set card, so alternate Dominaria it is.
Ghave, Guru of Spores -We know he comes from Drakkus, but it is unclear if Drakkus is a plane or if it is a location on a plane.
Jalum Grifter -An UN Set card paying homage to Joel L. Mick (JLM "Jalum"). The antiquities card "Jalum Tome" pays the same homage, so you could unofficially say Dominaria, but UN Sets exist in a separate canon.
Johnny, Combo Player -An UN Set card based around MtG Player's psychological profile. See Timmy, Power Gamer.
Nebuchadnezzar -A 2002 Arcana post confirms that Nebuchadnezzar is based on the real-life king of the Chaldean empire, making his plane of origin, Earth. At one point, (in magic lore) he found himself on Dominaria, dispensing wisdom and strict justice. The same article confirmed that Nebuchadnezzar is the only Legend from LEG based on a real person, so while LEG cards like Rasputin Dreamweaver probably take heavy inspiration from real-life figures, they are confirmed to not be a real-life person. NOTE: While Nebuchadnezzar is not explicitly mentioned in a retcon, Earth is stated to not be a part of Dominia, making the earlier part of the lore no longer canon.
Richard Garfield, Ph.D. -An UN Set card based off of MtG's creator. Plane: Earth. Note: UN Sets take place in a seperate canon.
Spike, Tournament Grinder -An UN Set card based around MtG Player's psychological profile. See Timmy, Power Gamer.
Syr Cadian, Knight Owl -Technically Unknown, but the Syr leads me to heavily believe it is an UN version of Eldraine
Timmy, Power Gamer -An UN Set card based around MtG Player's psychological profile, so you could say Earth and that Timmy is a "worldsoul-esque" amalgamation of Magic Players who fit that description. (UN Sets have a separate canon)
Urza, Academy Headmaster -An UN Set card poking fun of the canon Urza, who was beheaded. While the canon Urza is from Dominaria, this "Un"-iverse Urza is noted to be a parallel Urza. As UN Urza is a planeswalker, the plane of origin is unknown. It could be Bablovia, or perhaps an UN version of Dominaria.
Valki, God of Lies Flip -This card depicts Tibalt disguising himself as the real Valki, God of Lies. The real Valki is from Kaldheim. This card depicts a character from Innistrad
Wrenn and Six Wrenn and Seven -While Wrenn's homeplane is unknown, both Six and Seven are from Kessig, Innistrad

Worth noting that most of the earlier unknown origins (especially LEG) can be assumed to be Dominaria, but there's not official confirmation and for all pre-mending sets, having a spark wasn't required for planar travel. If the set takes place on multiple planes, and there isn't explicit confirmation of which plane they reside, they go in unknown. Post Mending (Post Future Sight), creatures are assumed to be from the setting of the current plane, unless otherwise stated.

DemonDragonJ and Hardhitta7,Definitely gonna take a while, but compiling lists is inexplicably relaxing for me. But yes, I'm researching confirmations in lore, whether it be an older magic article, book, or flavor text. It's surprisingly easy with a google search. If I can't find any confirmation, I put the legend in the unknown category.

I do love any excuse to talk about my main dudes Joven and Chandler !! Still sorta salty about them not letting Joven be a part of the death metal party in Kaldheim. Seemed like a lay-up.

I certainly think that this is an admirable idea, but it will definitely take a long time to list every legendary creature in the game, although there is no deadline for doing so.
Have those legends been confirmed as being from Dominaria?
