Today's story seemed short.

I was half expecting that a portion of the story would involve Jace needing to protect the others' minds from Emrakul like Tamiyo did for him.

It's interesting that Liliana's motivation up to this point appears only to be to save the world for the sake of having Jace and his friends owe her. I wonder if Gideon and Nissa's dislike of Liliana and the Chain Veil, respectively, will make them more or less willing to help her be rid of it. If she really wants to get rid of it, then Nissa might be willing to help her, but if she still wants to find a way around its adverse effects in order to continue using it then there is absolutely no chance of getting help from Nissa.

RicketyEng I think Lili wants to rid herself of the Chain Veil, but keep its power. You saw in the art book that she said that if she can do what she does best without it, then she'll be happier. I know she knows the Veil is killing her, but she can't lose it because it will sap her power completely

Well it shouldn't be too surprising RicketyEng. Remember a few stories back, it stated "It was merely that she needed people to need her." Knowing this, its perfectly understandable that she's only saving them to make them indebted to her.

i wonder how gideon and nissa know what the chian veil is. can they feel its power?

I agree, seemed like a pretty short story, in which nothing much happened. "Look, we've all arrived" is kind of a let down after last week's story.

The story could have been longer and better written. What happened to the normal authors?

I agree that this story was rather short. The Gatewatch sections seemed abrupt. Why not show the dialogue on Zendikar, and how they got into Thraben? I mean, they would've known Thalia by this point as told in the artbook, right?

I really dislike how Liliana is so arrogant; she definitely needs to be humbled, in my mind; it would have been great if she had encountered Nahiri.

I am glad that WotC is acknowledging how similar the situation on Zendikar, and that they are at least making efforts to differentiate then two situations.

Since it does not seem likely that the same strategy used to defeat the first two titans shall work on Emrakul, I expect that the heroes shall need to employ a different strategy to defeat it.

I am interested to see how Tamiyo comes back into the fray.

"Look at it, Gared. Pretty, in a way. Your world is ending."

"Yes, mistress. S'what it does around here, mostly."

It's nice to know that at least someone in Innistrad has adapted to the plane's craziness and become a little more genre-savvy.
