In this story, Jace and Vraska bond a little as they make port.

I love the budding relationship between Jace and Vraska. I hope they don't get separated! This story and the summaries of Vraska's past were beautifully written.

I'd ship jace + vraska at this point (pun not intended). As long as it doesn't turn into a cliche love triangle conflict with liliana.
I absolutely love vraska's character. I think she may be my new favorite character.

Again, the further character depth and development for Vraska was great, and I do also like how the relationship between her and Jace is developing.
Jace's discovery of how the compass works is great, so I expect that he shall soon be able to use it to locate Orazca, but the unexpected storm was certainly a setback, so I hope that everyone can survive it.

Well we know Jace and Vraska both survive it, as they're both pictured on Story Spotlight 5 (Perilous Voyage)

Clearly these are nice pirates! There's a lot of room for interpretation with a tribe like them; especially since some cards are gruesome af
Vraska could be terrifying. Jace losing his mind is a gnarly toy for her to play with. I'm glad they cleared it up how she found him (Thaumatic Compass). One of the other players was talking crap about the plot at prerelease. It does kinda look like jace's cloak (?)
I'm down with the tribe perspectives. Think the conquistadors will have a story? They're sketchy. F religious zealots sucking the life out of ppl lol

So I already have a name for Jace and Vraska together. How's "Snakes on a Brain?" She's a gorgon, but not exactly Medusa, per se, so it's a work in progress. Jace needs to forget Liliana. As in, more than he already has. Better someone who can turn people into stone than someone with a stone heart, amirite? Loving Jace's character direction away from Brooding Boy Wonder.

Hes still a prototype blue mage, he just doesnt have any reason to be emo anymore. I love his reasoning when it comes to not being worried about who he was.

MindAblaze I'm totally with you. I am all about the new Jace.
And I also ship Vrajaceska. I hope it won't turn into a love triangle...because Jace doesn't remember he ever had a thing for Lili!
I'm so glad I pulled a Vraska, Relic Seeker at prerelease, so I can build a theme deck based on her pirate crew. DEBT CARDS ALE for lyfe.

Cipher001 now I'm thinking about snakes eating someone's brain... that feels like a bad way to die.

@ RazortoothMtg "Zombie Snakes on a Brain?" That right there sounds like some convoluted love triangle between Liliana, Vraska, and Jace. I don't think that would end all too well, methinks. Zombie snakes are a thing, right? Pretty sure. Hmm.

In completely unrelated news, I think I found a new creepiest mtg card!

Interesting how Jace was able to deduce how the compass works and how he will use it to find the city.
However the 5th spotlight card suggests bad things for our anemic planeswalker.
