Today's episode gives us a little backstory on why Vraska is on Ixalan; the new meaning of a crash course in sailing, and how an unlikely friendship formed

I been enjoying these new stories alot, and I agree with Phaetion, what will happen? My guess is Jace will continue to A)make Vraska's life misrable, or b) continue to be a pirate.
I also wonder what Vraska will do when she finds the imortal sun, will she stay on as a pirate with Jace, (well it doesn't seem like she has an option there!) or will she become the guild leader.... So many questions, and to little answers.

Sulk Not sure about Bolas, but how good is his word?
As for Jace, as soon as his memory returns (if that happens), he'll likely want to reunite the gatewatch

I really liked how this story provided greater depth and development to Vraska as a character; perhaps she may eventually redeem herself and become a protagonist?
It is great that Jace and Vraska are actually getting along well, but I wonder what shall happen when Jace eventually regains his memories? Hopefully, they shall not fight each other, after having been companions together.

Honestly, I don't want jace to get his memories back. I like the kind of happy-go-lucky engineer he is, as it's the first character I've ever identified with. Old Jace actively sought out busywork, traveling to innistrad just to hit the books, going to zendikar just to talk to ugin about leylines (books), and on amonkhet he was barely present because there were no books to hit.
He was a researcher and the most extreme of introverts. Not to say we can't have a character like that, but just that I like the new ingenuity version jace waaay more and don't want to lose him.

Is it just me or did anyone else get the feeling that a budding romance was forming? Maybe it was just me

My favourite part was when Jace disassembled and reassembled the telescopes. I do that sort of stuff too.

I thought it was pretty cool that Nicol can just give people knowledge, also Vraska for GateWatch 2017

AgentGreen Bolas is untrust worthy to the extreme, but he's not stupid, and I bet he would leap ay any optunity to get another string In a high place. Vraska thinks he wise and good, so she would be easily munipulated, even if only for a time.

They're going to give Jace his memory back at some point, which sucks 'cause he is really interesting this way. But if that means his card is actually playable, I guess I can suck it up

I'm loving mind-wipe Jace. Gotta agree with Vraska- nobody likes that uptight guildpact we all know and loathe.

Honestly I like vraska too; a sort of oppressed but still hopeful leader-to-be with a results-at-any-cost mindset. I wouldn't mind her becoming part of the main cast assuming the quality of her character development was maintained.
I'm also hoping (though it probably won't happen) that if/when jace gets his memory back and returns to being his old, boring self, that vraska might realize it, see him as too dangerous to leave alive, and just end him right there. That, or do some sort of masterfully written and maintained merging of his two personalities, but I'm not sure I trust WotC's writers enough yet to not mess that up. They've been doing a good job lately, but it's only been three stories so far.
Either way, great story, great development of vraska and new jace, hoping the quality stays this high!
OR: jace gets his memories back, but either abdicates his station as guildpact or gets his memory too late to stop vraska from assuming the mantle. Losing that role, we lose a lot of old jace, but that's ok with me.

I wonder what it will mean for Vraska now if Jace gets his memories back...Curious indeed.
