Planeswalking non-walkers

I had heard recently that Gideon showed up in Gatecrash because he had gone to Ravnica in order to join the Boros Legion and to ask for their help in attacking the Eldrazi on Zendikar. Now, I don't follow the lore so much, but if this were the case how would the legionnaires get to Zendikar? They don't have a spark so how would Gideon plan on doing this if it were possible?

Uh, less powerful beings get shredded into nothing by the Blind Eternities. A walker's spark protects only the walker, and they can die if they stay for too long in the BE as well.

Gideon needs tokens to sacrifice so he doesn't lose his lands to the Eldrazi.

At least pre-mending it's possible if conditions are just right for a sufficiently powerful non-Planeswalker to move things between Planes. The Myojin of Night's Reach sent Toshiro Umezawa away from Kamigawa at the end of that arc, although I believe she said it was because Kamigawa's reality had been all fluffed up by the Kami War.

Right. The chaos from the Kami War allowed Myojin of Night's Reach to planeswalk. She didn't want the war to end for that reason.

There is also the ship Weatherlight thats able to move between planes, although, I'm fairly certain it doesn't exist anymore.

Gideon was looking for other Planeswalkers. Ravnica is a bit of a hub world. Especially with Jace there.

Gideon wasn't looking for Boros' help. He wanted help from walkers.

Not to sure about post-mending but pre-mending it was definitely possible. Urza brought many people to other planes through trial and error. At first he tried turning them to stone, but some died when he tried to return them to flesh. Finally he figured out that somehow flattening his travellers into 2D forms they could travel unharmed. That's how he saved a dozen or so survivors of the Tolarian time machine explosion.
But as others have done before him Gideon would just have to manifest a gate or portal to best move troops across planes.

The old Phyrexians had technology that let them build ships capable of planeswalking and carrying non-walkers. The skyship Weatherlight is also capable of planeswalking.
After the first Phyrexians were defeated, Venser discovered and built a planeswalking ship out of wreckage in Urborg. This occurs before the events in SoM block, so this is pretty recent.

If a planeswalker has seen a certain creature, then they will remember that creature and summon it out of the aether, even if that creature does not originate from the plane the walker is on. Kiora did that with a trench gorger on theros, which made the merfolk think that Kiora was an embodiment of Thassa.

There are plenty of non planeswalker characters that can move from plane to plane. Merit Lage is an example, (see Dark Depths ). It also seems that the Eldrazi titans can move through the blind eternities as well. As far as less powerful beings, I am sure that planeswalkers can take them with them when they planeswalk.
