In which Jhoira takes Liliana and Gideon for a timely reconnection with a very old - and very powerful - friend.
Now we got official confirmation about Niambi.
Anyway, Urza would be rolling in his grave if he heard all the jabs at him.
Also, how on earth did Jhoira get Teferi's planeswalker spark? It's a nice cliffhanger, but it doesn't make sense. I also suspect Karn will show up next week (if not, the week after).

I enjoyed seeing Teferis character, and the interactions of the Weatherlight crew with Niambi solving the puzzle.
Anyone else see Lilianas low-key jab at Raff?
Also, I find it strange that Chandra gets a card for this set, yet neither Liliana or Gideon do. Theyre the ones who have been in almost every story, and Liliana is on three of the four MS spotlight cards.

This story was great, but I have only just started reading the books that tell the story of Urza, Mishra, and all the other parts of the most epic saga of M:tG lore, so I did not understand much of it.
On the other hand, The Brother's War is an excellent book, and I cannot believe that I waited for so long to begin reading the Weatherlight saga; I personally wish that, if the rumored Magic: the Gathering movie ever becomes a reality, it should adapt the story of Urza and Mishra, rather than any of the newer stories.

Liliana went through all that trouble to get eternal youth, when she coulda just asked Teferi how he did it.

I think this shows that Mox Amber is Teferi's spark
She touched the amulet around her neck, then opened it. Inside lay a small Powerstone, glittering in the dim light. She had made this stone herself at the Thran Mana Rig. It held Teferi's Planeswalker spark.
