So with the whole Khans block story finished, I have some continuity questions.
1: I am assuming that Ugin kills Nicol Bolas, right?
2: if that's the case, would that mean that Ajani's brother never died? Thus meaning that Ajani never gets his spark?
3: would this also mean that the first Zendikar block "never happened"?
4: and would this also mean that the Infinite Consortum would have never existed either? Thus leaving Jace without a spark?
What the fucking fuck? I am too sober for this time travel shit!
It appears the cake is a lie. Someone explain this shit.
Wizards explained all of the inconsistencies away by stating that the time travel only affected Tarkir. Ugin was in basically a coma up until the present Tarkir timeline so he did not kill Bolas. The only planeswalkers affected by the travel are Sarkhan, Sorin, and Narset. Narset became a planeswalker in the new timeline, Sorin's visit to Tarkir in the present is the only thing that changed in his life, and Sarkhan's origins have now been changed: he was now 'born' when he appeared in the new Tarkir timeline, as the past one no longer exists. Kind of like the dragon tempests in the story, he just poofed into existence.

If Ugin kills Nicol Bolas, it hasn't happened yet, so there aren't really continuity issues as far as that is concerned. Bolas still beat Ugin in past-Tarkir, it's just that Sarkhan made it so that instead of dying, Ugin regenerates.
