Teferi Might Not Have His Spark to Start With?

Check out the art and flavor text of the Opt reprint:
http://mythicspoiler.com/dom/cards/opt.html
The art on Opt shows an old Teferi, with a ghost image of how he used to look behind him, and the flavor text seems to say that Jhoira recovered his spark somehow (out of the time rift???) and put in an artifact that he could use somehow (to recover it or for something else?).
It also seems to imply that he might not want to be a PW anymore.
Now look at Teferi's PW card:

Here he's clearly depicted as a young man.
This all seems to say that Teferi isn't a planeswalker at the start of the set, but recovers his spark through Jhoira to become one again. However, in a post mending world PW's aren't able to reshape their bodies at will, so this doesn't explain how Teferi is looking so young in his PW card. Maybe the card is supposed to represent him as he was in the past? There are a lot of callback cards this set, but it seemed like all the PW were supposed to represent them as they are now (like Jaya being old in her card).
Thoughts?

During Time Spiral, Teferi got caught in a slow-time bubble that halted his aging, similar to Jhoira (iirc, correct me if I'm wrong). He ended up sacrificing his spark to save Shiv and fix the time rifts, and that was the last we heard from him. I'm interested to see how he is going to get his PW spark back.

Actually, Teferi got caught in a slow time bubble way back when he was a student at Urza's Academy. He also wasn't a PW yet, and was 14 years old. (His spark igniting was also what made him stop aging, not the time bubble. Jhoira became ageless by drinking slow time infused water.)
I forget what block it was, but it was part of the Weatherlight saga. That was way before Time Spiral though.

I agree with pskinn01. I think he will be returned to his younger self. Reinvigorated perhaps. Also, Jhoira does have his spark in a crystal, that was revealed in Dominaria Story Episode 6.

The spark, might of returned his body to the same state it was in when he lost it. As planeswalkers don't age at same rate as others.
