It seems Ajani has been deeply affected by Elspeth's death in his new rendition. Aside from the fact that all of his abilities have something to do with protecting you and your Planeswalkers, there's a little something extra in the art.

I like the fact that the art continues the lore. I don't how I would feel if they reversed their fates (Ajani dead, Elspeth replaces), though. That's cool easter egg level art.
Reprint Ajani Vengeant so he can tear poop up in Return to Theros!

Ajani has got to be one of the coolest guys in the lore. Dude just keeps living through terrible crap and still keeps coming back to seek revenge. I feel sort of bad for him though...

JakeHarlow IMO having 3 std legal Ajani's dont like it despite how good are the cards, there are many other planeswalkers that could have bring or even make a new one....
in the other hand i have got very impressed with this Ajani's art is just awesome!
also IMO his abilities like em more then Ajani, Mentor of Heroes at least his ult is better/cooler than just gaining 100 life...

Ruric - I know this is lore forum, but I need to tell u guys this: Ajani, Mentor of Heroes ultimate was designed in a conspiracy. The secret combo where the true Magic lives is: Ultimate Mentor, Drop The Chain Veil and Steadfast, ulti steadfast.
Suddenly, all makes sense.
