This is one of those stories where I start to choke up because of how emotional it is. This was a very powerful story, and had much more impact than any of the Oath's did with their flavor text.

Walked into that expecting it to be super cheesy. It kind of was, but not in the bad way. I really liked this one.

Also, something I didn't notice before, unlike all of his other card arts, in Oath of Gideon he doesn't look like a neanderthal. He's actually quite handsome, huh?

One more thing, I never noticed how nice the art for Ruin in Their Wake was.

I'm definitely excited for the next Uncharted Realms

I love how Jace, Nissa, and Gideon were very serious about it, and Chandra was just like "yeah, whatever".

Gideon is way too cool.

Holy crap, that was beautiful. I... I need to think about some stuff. Yay for Character moments! Also some development. Gideon doesn't feel as idiotic and Captain America as before (and so cute looking squee), and now I can't call Jace Cena the Mickey Mouse of WotC, at least not as well as before. This is a good direction, not as Avengers-ey as before.

I'm like this. I was worried when this idea was happening that it'd be poorly executed. But I love it. The characters are developing and the plot is working phenomenally. I hope wizards can keep up the awesome plot line as it is. Also pushing for other walkers to join the watch.

This story was rather short, but it did provide excellent character development for each main character (although I do wish that there had been more time devoted to that development).

Why, exactly, is Kiora not swearing an oath with the others? I know that the in-universe reason is that she had to retrieve the bident, but what is the out-of-universe reason for that? Why did the story writers decide to exclude her from the Gatewatch? Also, having asked that, why is ti even called the Gatewatch, anyway? And what has Ugin been doing, all this time?

I think Kiora is not swearing an oath because we already have green and blue represented and it would've been one more rare that honestly wasn't necessary or needed. That and the fact her getting an oath that's already in two colors represented by Jace and Nissa would've felt weird.

Also, Kiora doesn't really seem to be a team player, according to the previous stories.

I think we will find out why it is called Gatewatch at a later point in the story. For now we know they all swore an oath to defend any world from destructive threats, I doubt they even thought of the name yet.

As for Ugin...He must be hanging out somewhere waiting on Sorins return with Nahiri, unless he already left the planet.
