Honestly, this story covered something that's been really bothering me. Everyone's all like "Gideon, you're our commander!" But all he does is fight, never command.

So I liked this. :)

Yea this was a pretty exciting story. Sucks that it's gonna be a 2 week wait after such a cliffhanger though.

The action in this week's story was intense, all the major protagonists have now gathered together (including Gideon meeting Kiora), and the story ended on a killer cliffhanger, to leave the audience awaiting the final battle!

However, the story itself felt too lacking in genuine tension, mostly because none of the major protagonists are likely to die in this arc, and Drana and Noyan Dar had very little roll in it, as well. I do hope that the next stories in this arc can be more suspenseful and unpredictable.

I am very excited to learn that the next two stories shall focus on new characters from this year's Commander set; it is great to see that WotC shall still be doing one-shot stories, even with a massive, multi-block spanning, story arc.

There wasn't any detailed combat descriptions. I imagine that the writers for WotC aren't very good fight choreographers, and the story lacked one of the most important things when detailing intensive action; short, quick sentences.
