The aftermath of the huge battle with the Titans, Zendikar and everyone recovers, and Ugin kickstarts the plot a bit.

Yup. This was a very good story, even though nothing super exciting happened.
Also: damn you GoldGhost, ninja'd by a matter of seconds! :D

Might I suggest to the admins ( Epochalyptik) that there be a dedicated forum to the U/R of some sort? Given the consistency and the people like GoldGhost012 and RussischerZar who are devoted to posting them for us.
That also allows people to find all the stories of the MTG universe as it unfolds in a single place on this site.

Yes but like a single thread. Where it's all lined up. Idk...
I'm a very orderly person.
Don't judge me. :'(

Well good job Jace that's two dragons you've pissed off.
Though I actually liked this story a lot. It furthers the plot though I want to know what happens when eldrazi Titans die.

Ugin has a point though; we don't know what kind of ecosystem just took a massive hit.
I liked the conversation with Ugin and I was looking forward to that part too.

I was thinking the same thing for Gideon and Tazri.

Ugin seemed mighty pissed
He might not be so helpful down the road

Rayenous: I almost thought Gideon and Tazri were an item during that part.
However, I would love to see a Jace vs. Ugin and Nicol Bolas
grabs some popcorn

Wow. Was NOT expecting Ugin to be so thunderously PISSED OFF. That was great. Amazing work here with great character moments from all 4 planeswalkers; Chandra is now in my top 3 walkers with Nissa and Sarkhan. "Damn right we did," while staring down a pissed off dragon, amazing.

Faytl you have to imagine what's going through Ugins mind.
He tells them killing the Titans is going to ruin everything.
Jace promises to not kills them then goes ahead and kills them and Chandra is sitting around in the skull of Ulamog. So it's understandable that he's pissed since he knows what comes in the aftermath of the eldrazi dying which to him is terrifying.
So understandably he has a DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUVE DONE? It's like sentinel prime betrayed Optimus prime or when everyone found out snape killed dumbldore.

I'm grinning like a madman right now. This is the reason why I love Magic lore so much. Fucking right. Best UR I've read in a very long time.

I want to see -------, Titan-Slayer planeswalker cards for the four of them now.
February 24, 2016 9:36 p.m.
I want to see a Jace that's "Jace, Investigator" where he's wearing a monocle and a deerstalker while smoking a pipe.

I have to wonder though ... if Jace is going to Innistrad to investigate Sorin - what will happen to Ravnica? He is still Jace, the Living Guildpact after all. And he has been absent for some time now already.
Inb4 a few blocks down the road: Chaos on Ravnica.

But EJ, Ugin doesn't know what comes in the aftermath of an Eldrazi death. That is why he is upset; at least with the Eldrazi contained he could study them as if they were in a lab. It sounds like the hedron network in its original state also provided Ugin the tools to perform these analyses. Now his concern is that there will be some dire consequences, but he knows not what, nor on what time frame they will manifest. As he said, the Gatewatch may not live to see the consequences of their actions, but Ugin will.
Ooh, in other news, I also liked Jace's subtle jab at Ugin when Ugin blamed the state of the hedron network for his inability to detect Kozilek and Jace said, "I find either scenario discomforting."

The actual bit from the story:
"The other surprise was that Kozilek was still on Zendikar," said Jace. "A fact you either didn't know or didn't relay. Respectfully, I don't find either scenario especially comforting."

I do find it to strain credibility, and also reduce the drama of the story, that there were no significant casualties among the major protagonists; hopefully, the story writers are not unwilling to kill of major characters in the story.
I definitely liked Ugin's appearance in the story, and I shall be very eager to see more of him, as the story progresses.
I definitely liked how the main characters were wondering what to do, next. Will Chandra return to Keral Keep, will Nissa remain on Zendikar, what will Gideon do, now, and when shall Jace return to Ravnica? Jace does have a responsibility there, as well. I do like how the story is continuing, and how the characters realize that they cannot celebrate, just yet, and I also very much appreciated how it was stated that it will take a long time for Zendikar to heal, to show how intensely the battle wounded the plane.
The writers are doing an excellent job of keeping me interested in what shall happen next, so I will definitely be eager to read the next story, as well. With both Eternal Masters and a new Conspiracy set soon to be released, I shall be expecting stories that break away from the Eldrazi plotline and instead focus on those sets, as those would be very nice, indeed.

This felt...right. Ugin was, understandibly upset, and we get the setup for the story of SOI. Feels good, man.
